I think it will be beautiful. I also would like more detail on the “how” you hand quilt with perle cotton. I am getting ready to start on a lap quilt now and would love any advice on type of needle, etc. Your Birdie Stitches have been so much fun that I have been doing more with floss and perle cotton. Thanks for the inspiration! πŸ™‚

It’s pretty much traditional hand quilting only I use a longer stitch. I like to use an embroidery needle for hand quilting & if I need to use a thimble(I find for small projects it’s not always necessary) I have a leather one that works pretty well for me–I could never get into using the metal ones! It’s such an easy fun way to add a pop of fun color to a quilt!
