  • Ohhhhh just wonderful!

  • I rather like the look of this . I have tried to enlarge for a closer look but no go.
I wonder is it one piece layered on top of another .
    Really fresh looking

    • Thank you Kathleen!–It is layered–4 different layers but I cut out the back before adding each layer which really reduces the potential bulk.

  • I am in love with your quilt… the colours are beautiful!! Thanks for sharing.

  • Corey, this is really charming! Can’t wait to see it all quilted, washed and crinkly! Hugs!

  • Very pretty, and clever to cut out the back to reduce bulk.

  • It’s so pretty Corey! I want to make this quilt so much!

  • Wow! That looks beautiful.

  • that is a cool quilt! can’t wait to see it finished off

  • That is just gorgeous. Very creative. Is it your own design? And how smart to cut out the layer backs to reduce bulk.

    • The pattern is French Roses & it’s not my pattern. I’ve wanted to make one for awhile and am finally getting around to it. The pattern suggests cutting out the back & it’s really a wonderful suggestion!

  • trop jolie bravo

  • Very pretty.

  • I love the quilt and the fabrics you are using. It will be so beautiful.

  • This is beautiful!

  • I love this pattern. The fabric you used is just great! I made one too but kept it small without much in the way of borders. It is my favourite lap quilt for watching tv. Our cat loves it too. : )

  • I so love this quilt! I would love you to post some closer pics. xxx

  • When you showed the one flower block I wondered if that was for French Roses. I have the pattern, I have fabric…
    YOURS is gorgeous. 🙂

  • lovely! I am in the middle of making a french roses quiltie myself! love your fabric pics!

  • LOVE IT!! 🙂 Barb.

  • It’s beautiful!

  • This is truly beautiful. How do you cut out the backs? Please share.

    • Thank you! For this pattern each block is comprised of the background square plus 4 flower layers. After sewing the first layer to the background fabric you flip the square over and cut out the middle of the background square leaving a quarter inch seam allowance. Flip the square back over, sew down the next layer, cut the backing away(you will now be cutting the first flower layer) & repeat twice more.

  • Beautiful!

  • I love how your mind works!

  • OOh So pretty!

  • It looks so lovely….. this quilt is on my TO DO LIST… the fabrics are even pressed…. 2012…..here it comes!

  • Looks lovely, can’t wait to see the finished product!

  • It´s so wonderful and delicate colors

  • Love it and the material.

  • Lovely. I love the colours and the pattern – never appliqued and cut away the back. Sounds interesting.
