    i stopped cross stitch when i discovered quilting, i miss it and i have a Ton of threads, my aunt just gifted me a box of Vintage Silk threads, i should use them for this, so yes i’m in, great idea!

    What a fabulous, stuck-in-the-house winter project! We’re military overseas, so I have to order e-v-e-r-y-t-h-i-n-g online and wait for the mail. I might get a late-ish start, but no worries. Your project is So Cute and So Modern and So Not Boring and merges stitching with quilting. Perfect!

    Would you mind sharing the numbers/colors/identifier of your color choices? I would love to just order one of every possible color, but my husband might not survive the shock.

  86. Please count me in. I was an OCD cross stitcher for years and years…but it was years ago. I sort of burned out and went over to my knitting and then back to my quilting. I think it is time to return. I have all kinds of stuff upstairs in my library so will see what I need to get. This is going to be such fun. I do not have any Sullivan thread. All of mine is DMC.     I have just chosen my fabric and thread colours and am looking forward to catching up with the two blocks already posted. I have a selection of DMC variegated threads and hope to be able to incorporate them in this design.

    Question, it has been a long time since I did cross stitch, what I want to do with these cute little blocks is use waste canvas and put them on regular quilting cotton, then make them into Christmas ornaments, as the middles of either a hexie or cathedral window. But, the instructions are on a 14 ct. Aida cloth, waste canvas is 12 count, I don’t remember if the higher number is smaller/tighter weave or the lower number is smaller. Thank you for your help.
