Oh Scrap! Weekend Giveaway

It’s no secret that I love Scrap Quilts–In fact that little bundle of fabrics up there in all of it’s scrappy goodness was just made into a quilt this week.

I love the fun of putting together different fabrics from different designers and collections and having them all play together in one beautiful quilt.  But, once you have the fabrics picked out—then what?!?

And here comes Lissa Alexander to the rescue with her just released book, “Oh, Scrap”.  We all know and love Lissa from her site: Moda Lissa and as the dear person behind so many fun happenings at Moda Fabrics.  She is one of those rare, genuine and humble people that you don’t get the opportunity to meet very often!

I was delighted when Lissa asked me to participate in a blog hop and giveaway to celebrate the release of her new book.

This book is packed full of scrappy projects.  So many good ones–I’m not sure where to start.  There is a Lone Star quilt that has my heart–and if you missed out on the American Patchwork and Quilting “Tone It Down” quilt along featuring Lissa’s design–you may be in for a real treat…. 😉

I was showing my mom the book yesterday and we were leafing through and I said, “I really need to pick out a favorite quilt…which one should it be?”(you’ve gotta have a favorite so you know which one to start with!)  And she said, “Oh, I really like that pink one…or what about that one…what was that one a couple pages back?”  In the end I just couldn’t narrow it down–there are so many pretty quilts.  I love the cover quilt but I also really like this one(and the aforementioned Lone Star):

Often, when I am perusing a quilt book, I may see one or two quilts that are must makes–it is rare for me to have so many quilts that I would love to make.  How fun would a quilt along be that would take us through the whole book—quilt by quilt!

If you haven’t had the chance to check this book out, I have an e-book copy for giveaway.

Looks like a wonderful book and thank you for the chance to win! Here, in California we have a candy shop named See’s. They have the cutest little candy shaped like a potatoe.
