Apricot & Ash Patterns

Welcome to May–aren’t we glad to have made it through April!  I know many of you are waiting for the next installment of my hand quilting series…don’t worry, I haven’t forgotten about it.  I hope to have it up next Friday.  In the meantime, I wanted to share my new Apricot and Ash patterns with all of you.

Up first is Woodland Frolic:

Woodland Frolic Quilt

Woodland Frolic was such a fun quilt to make!  It features large, 24″ blocks and finishes at 61″ x 61″.

I had my daughter Elonie hold the quilt up so you could get an idea of the scale of the blocks.  I had so much fun designing this quilt.  Elonie also had input into the blocks to make sure they looked like what I wanted them too.  That fox went through a couple revisions until we had it just right.

Woodland Frolic is available in my shop in either Paper or PDF versions.  Fabric requirements can be found in my pattern listings as well.

My second new pattern is Friendly Neighbor.

Friendly Neighbor Quilt

The Apricot & Ash line of fabric also includes a panel that I designed to work with the line.  That is what you see being used in the Friendly Neighbor quilt.  There is NO applique in this quilt. =)

Piecing these blocks was so much fun.  They finish at 18″ and the completed quilt is 82″ x 82″.

Friendly Neighbor is also the kit quilt for this collection.  That means you will be able to purchase this project in one of those adorable Moda boxes.  Friendly Neighbor was quilted by David of Quilting by David.

You’ll find the Friendly Neighbor pattern in my shop in both Paper and PDF version.

Marketplace is the third of my new patterns:

Marketplace Quilt

Marketplace is a fat quarter friendly quilt that finishes at 70″ x 87″.

These blocks were so much fun to make and I love how each one looks so different.  Also, that background fabric is one of my favorites!  It’s a little plus print from the Apricot & Ash line and it is going to work so well in so many different projects.

You’ll find the Marketplace quilt pattern in my shop in both Paper & PDF versions.

The fourth new pattern is Patched.

Patched uses a layer cake plus two charm packs.  I love that this quilt allows you to highlight some of your favorite prints from the collection.  I used over sized methods for making the hourglass blocks which streamlines the piecing.

I love that beautiful rose quilting that David did on this quilt for me.  And, ticking stripe binding for the win! =)

The Patched pattern can be found in my shop in both Paper and PDF versions.

I also have a discounted bundle of all four quilt patterns available in my shop.  I do this for every new pattern release as I have many customers that prefer to buy all of the new patterns.  You’ll find the bundle for sale here.

Up next, I want to share with you my Easy Peasy quilt pattern.  Easy Peasy is a quilt pattern that will be available to you free later this year.  When Apricot & Ash ships (in August), I will add the free pattern to my website.

Easy Peasy uses yardage plus both the gray and the white panel from the line.  Again, this quilt has no applique.  We are using the panels with our log cabin blocks for a simple to piece, yet dynamic design!

What a fun quilt this one was to piece!  David beautifully quilted this one for me as well.

I just got this beauty back from my quilter Sherilyn, and I wanted to show you another great way to use the panel.

Isn’t it wonderful!  The panel is sold as 60″ wide running yardage.  One yard is the equivalent of one panel.  I used two yards to make this whole cloth quilt that will finish at 60″ x 72″.  And Sherilyn beautifully quilted it.  When I designed the panel I wanted to be able to make a whole cloth quilt reminiscent of Baltimore Album or Rose of Sharon type quilts.  I just love the way it turned out!  Traditional but with a fresh spin…those are some of my favorite quilts!

All of the quilts shown in the post feature Apricot & Ash fabrics which ship in August.  If you have a local quilt shop and would like to see these fabrics and patterns in your local shop, please let them know.  They are able to order the fabrics right now to ship in August.

Thank you so much for stopping by!  Have a wonderful weekend, Corey

I’ve done the preorder on the Friendly Neighbor and now I need to be sure to have the panels for Easy Peasy! I love playing with panels. One of my favorite sayings to a quilt group is “not your Grandmother’s panel quilt”. I know the Easy Peasy qualifies for one of those… Thanks Corey
