Cali & Co. 2025 Mystery BOM!
Say what??…a Tuesday blog post and video? Indeed! We are sharing the official Cali & Co. 2025 Mystery Block-of-the-Month announcement. =)
Beginning January 2025, I will be hosting a 12 month, mystery BOM featuring Cali & Co. fabrics. The patterns will all be free and I will be sharing monthly video tutorials to go along with the block patterns and finishing instructions. Cali & Co. fabrics are set to ship to quilt shops in November so a January kick-off will be just perfect. It will be so much fun to dive into these pretty fabrics and sew along with all of you. I will share the exact January start day later this year.
I’ve just finished up all of my test blocks for this sew along and I must say, I am smitten. This is going to be so much fun!…I love the way the blocks turned out and I think the final setting for the blocks is a pretty one. It’s such a happy fun quilt! Want to join in on the mystery BOM?
Here are the fabric requirements
Cali & Co. fabrics are currently showing to quilt shops. Some quilt shops are taking preorders. If you have a local shop that you would like to purchase Cali & Co. from, be sure to let them know now so they can get it ordered in time. (And quilt shops, if you are accepting preorders for Cali & Co., let us know in the comments!)
Nicole & I filmed a video talking about the sew along including some helpful information. You can catch the video here.
I always have so much fun hosting these mystery BOMs and I would love to have you join in!
Happy Tuesday! Corey
Looking forward to the BOM. Enjoyed the last one immensely. Thanks for all you do to keep us motivated to continue our passion.
I’m happy to have you sewing along again!
I have precuts (made from scraps from quilts made, etc) and a stash that fills every wall of my quilt room. Would I still be welcome in this BOM and going totally scrappy? I’ve been quilting 50 years, so it’s a lot of scraps! Thanks
You can use whatever fabrics you’d like to! =)
I can’t wait for your mystery BOM! Is there any place on line to pre order Cali & Co?? I love this line!!!!! Thank you 😊

I think it’s so much fun to sew along with everyone!
I am excited for this BOM.
Me too!
Love your fabrics! Can’t wait for the mystery in January.
It will be fun!
What a great collection of fabric prints. Can’t wait for the quilt-a-long. Will definitely see if Sew There can order it. Love your stuff!
Thanks so much!…I hope to have you joining in!
I just downloaded the materials supply list. Can’t wait! Could this BOM surprise also be done in your new colors collection that has some black and white? I’ve been wanting to use it in something. Love you Corey!
It’s going to be so much fun! The mystery BOM could be made using quite a variety of different fabrics. I made my test blocks in Tilda fabrics and they turned out so pretty.
If I want to do borders without piecing, how much of the outer border fabric should I get?
Do you mean that you want to cut the borders by the length of the fabric to avoid some of the seams in that outside border?
I love your mystery BOM’s. I really appreciate the fact that you posted the fabric requirements now. That is so helpful when planning what upcoming projects I am doing with which fabric. I have participated in your previous mysteries and I typically do 2 in tandem, one with your new product line and one with my stash.
It’s always so much fun to see all of the different versions that get made during these BOMs. I did my test blocks using Tilda fabrics and I really like how they turned out. I can’t wait to sew up another version using Cali & Co. =)
Hi Cory, cant wait to see the blocks. Waiting for the fabric to come in. so much fun.
These mystery BOMs are such fun to host. =)
Oh how I love a mystery BOM, love this fabric line and can’t wait to join in the fun!!
They are such fun to host!

Thank you so much for offering this preorder for people and for posting to let us know!
Always love your fabric lines and mystery sew alongs. So very generous of you to provide the pattern. Can’t wait to see and hold the fabric. It’s probably even cuter than the online pictures. Without giving away anything would the pattern lend itself to making more blocks to enlarge the size? Might get the fat quarter bundle.
Thanks so much Mary!…they are so much fun to host. Yes, you could make this quilt larger by adding additional blocks.
Corey, what size is this going to finish at? I’m looking forward to participating!
52×67
I’m looking forward to this one as it will be my first BOM with you. I’ve just ordered the bundle. Being in Australia I’m not sure I’ll be able to get the yardage. Do you have a suggested alternate Bella solid for the background please Corey?
I’m glad to have you joining in Theresa! You may have already watched the video and gotten your answer to this but the Bella solid that matches is 9900-200 (it’s the same white solid that matches any of my fabric lines).
Thanks Corey. Yes I did actually watch the video after posting this but thanks 🙂

Hi Corey! I can’t wait for the sew-a-long! I have a bundle of your SUNWASHED fabric line that I have been waiting to use and was wondering if it would work on this BOM or do I need smaller print fabrics? Thanks for all your inspiration!
Corey, Corey, Corey.. Rachael here with Quilted Twins in Florida piping up.. We just got in the beautiful fabrics for your amazing BOM Mystery project! I hope more people want these fabrics, as we have ordered in plenty for those who will be joining! Just telling you that they are coming to the stores now and it’s on NOVEMBER!
Yay! I was hoping they would roll in sooner rather than later. =)
While I love this line, I have soooo much Peachy Keen. I think I will use that for this Mystery BOM.
It’ll be beautiful in Peachy Keen. I already made all of the blocks using scrappy Tilda fabrics and I love it in those as well. =)
Corey, I am so excited…my Fat Eighth bundle is on its way to me and I’m getting ready to order the rest of the Mystery project fabrics as soon as they hit the shelves. I have one question for you: If we wanted to switch out the red border fabric for one of the other colors, possibly a yellow or a green, will that still look good with the mystery blocks? Or should we stay with a red?
I think it would look pretty in whatever border fabric you’d like to use. It is going up against a narrow background border so you don’t have to worry about it being right up against the blocks.
Thank you! My FE Bundle was delivered today and I am smitten with these lovely little prints!
Hey Corey – I enjoy watching your u-tubes! I am joining for for the 2025 block of the month with cali & co. My first one with you. I already have my fat quarters of the line and am sewing a king size quilt. What I am wondering is how big are the blocks? Once I know that I can design the king size and order my border, binding and backing fabric. Thank you. So excited for January! Robin
Pieced Patchwork quilt store in Livonia, MI will be participating in this sew along. First time participant.
I’m looking forward to my first quilt along with you! Very exciting for me !
I’m happy to have you sewing along!
will we be able to chose our fabrics for each block? I’m not a fan of totally replicated works. Your fabric line is gorgeous!
Of course, you can purchase and use whatever fabrics you’d like.
Hi Corey. I’m looking forward to joining you for the Cali & Co. Mystery BOM. This will be the first time I have participated in a BOM mystery quilt on line. I bought the fabric bundle on line from the Happy Little Quilt Shop, so I’m ready to get started. I’ve always enjoyed taking your classes in person. This will be just as much fun, I’m sure.
This is my first time doing your mystery quilt Just received my fabric Waiting for the fun to begin When are the videos going to be on utube?
Does this quilt pattern allow the size to be enlarged? I would like to make a queen size quilt.
