Cuddle Up Sampler Sew Along: Week 5 {Candles Block}

The fifth block tutorial of our Cuddle Up Sampler Sew along is now available to watch on YouTube. =)

This block has a fair amount of piecing…especially after our simple 4th block! But, over in the video I give you an option for simplifying the piecing on this block if you are a bit intimidated by those little Ohio Star blocks. =)

I mocked up the Candles block below into a wall hanging…which I think would be very cute!

The Ohio Star blocks in the wall hanging border are the same size as those in the Candles block. The red striped border is from Coriander Colors and is just the perfect candy cane stripe for this quilt. All of the other fabrics are from Starberry.

Of the 5 blocks we’ve pieced so far, which has been your favorite? I think if I had to pick a favorite right now, I would go with the snowman block. =)
