Flowers in the Snow

The quilt top I’m piecing right now feels a bit like “flowers in the snow”.  In spite of the germs we have been fighting in our household for the past few weeks (shouldn’t they be gone by now!?) I have managed to get a few things done.
I’ve been working on the above quilt top–after seeing Jessica’s quilt I knew I wanted one of my own.  It’s coming together lickety split–aside from the fact that I cut 40 10″ strips instead of 40 10.5″ strips—aaack–I had to take a break for a couple days after that.  This weekend I re-cut the strips and now I am on the way again.
I finished up some bee blocks and finished up Block #1 for some upcoming blog fun–(I’ll give you a hint..rhymes with “sock of the month”).  I know, now you are all wishing it would be sock of the month, aren’t you!? =)  My mom went thru a bit of a sock of the month thing–I’ve got Easter, Halloween, Christmas, St. Patty’s day socks etc. to prove it. =)  I might share a sneaky peek before the launch in January(of the block, not the socks)–think Moda Sunkissed meets cute birdie embroidery…sound cute? =)

I think I need a quilt like this. I'll pay strict attention to the length of the strips 🙂

oh, I love fun socks! I just bought my daughters some new Christmas socks (they are 27 and 30!). My mom used to buy us theme underwear and she was offended when we asked her to stop! Sock of the month! Yay!

I feel for you! That is the worst feeling when you've cut up pretty fabric wrong! Loving your tulips, and I'm not usually one for pieced flower blocks, but this one is wonderful.
