Hand Quilting 3 of 4
Happy Saturday!…I hope you are all having a wonderful start to your day. We have a busy day here in town today…so many events taking place in our little spot of the world! We have our Rib Fest, the Amish Country Half Marathon (which hubby is running), as well as the final day of the Amish Country Quilt Festival. Our town is going to be hopping!
These events all seem to fall on this weekend every year and it’s a busy few days…so many people coming to visit and our town is bursting at the seams. =) I’m going to link to these events in case you want to plan a visit in the future! Amish Country Quilt Festival, Amish Country Half Marathon, Berlin Harvest Festival & Rib Fest
But now, on to the reason for this Saturday blog post…I wanted to share with you that my 3rd video (of 4) on Big Stitch Hand Quilting just went live today.
This is the tips/technique video where I chat about how I hand quilt. You can find and watch the video on my YouTube channel here. I think this is such nice timing for this video as we head into fall/winter. I always enjoy having a hand project to work on in the cooler months…whether that is hand quilting, embroidery, cross stitch, or even hand binding.
In the next hand quilting video, I will be sharing a fun project that you can make to practice up on your hand quilting skills! Wishing you all a wonderful weekend! Corey
On this post you show a picture of a table topper that you hands srirched. What pattern is that, is beautiful
Is it the gray/yellow? I didn’t make a pattern for that…the block is called an improved nine patch.
Wish I would have known about quilt festival as I only live about 2 hours from Berlin.
It happens every year…so be sure to check it out next year! There are actually two of them each summer/fall. The one I linked above and one in August called A Quilters Gathering in Berlin.
Hi Corey, thanks so much for your hand quilting videos. I’ve learned so much, especially about the start and stop knots. Can you please talk about the needle you use, type and size of needle. God Bless!
Thank you! Yes, of course!…I talked about needles in video 2: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T2r9kuD_6Yw
