Moda Blockheads Round 5 (Group 2): Block 26
Good morning Friends and Happy Moda Blockheads day!
I have 2 blog posts going up today. This is the first one…and it’s a quick one.
I will also have a second blog post going up at 10am EST sharing the first block and tutorial video in our Cuddle Up Sampler sew along. If you are sewing along with the Sampler sew-along, be sure to stop back again!
I thought it was easiest/nicest to do two separate blog posts so you can find the information you need for each. So, let’s chat Moda Blockheads….
Our block this week is designed by Kim Kight. You can download the PDF pattern here.
It is a paper pieced block, so I have opted to skip it. In counting my blocks, I realize that I only need one more 12″ block to finish out the blocks I need for my planned layout. I have all of the 6″ blocks finished. So, next week, I’ll be sharing the last block I’ll be making. No block picture from me for today. =) So, that’s all for the Moda Blockheads chat…short and sweet. =)
Have fun sewing up your block today! And see all of you Cuddle Up Sampler sew-alongers back here in a bit! =) Corey
I thought maybe you were going to say Tiggs was designing the layout! LOL!
LOL! =)
No block but Tiggs! Always good to see him.
He’s such a fun cat. =)
Thank you for sharing the Moda solids that match well with your fabric lines. It makes life a tiny bit easier as I often think a fabric will match while in the shop, only to get home and discover it was a matter of lighting. Very frustrating. As a result I often avoid using solids in my quilts.
I wish more designers would do this.
When shopping instore (if the lighting isn’t great)) I have already asked if I can take the fabrics outside to look at them. It makes such a big difference if you can see the colors in natural light.
I always love your alternate blocks, but it was good to see Tiggs. 🙂
Tiggs made my day!
