34

Today’s the big 34 for me…does anyone else have trouble remembering how old they are? Seriously, I’m all…”so, I was born in ’78, that makes me 30 in ’08–add another 4 years…ok so I must be 34 this year…Ryan is 3-4 years older than me so he’s 37 right now…so, yeah 34 sounds right”. It is such a thought process each time I try to figure out how old I am–Chloe thinks I’m nuts that I have such a hard time remembering. But now, I think I have it figured out…see Tracey, is 1 year younger than me and her birthday is exactly 1 week before mine. So, as long as she posts every year on her birthday, I should be good to go! =p

Everyone attending Quilt Market this weekend or visiting there LQS in the upcoming months is in for a realy treat. The new lines are all just marvelous! I was anxious to see Vanessa’s debut line of fabric after seeing her sneak peeks on her blog;

It totally doesn’t disappoint!–Wonderful line of fabric and I love seeing those purples in there–definitely need more purple fabrics!

Aneela’s new line “Sew Stitchy” fab as usual! You can see a great quilt Aneela made using Sew Stitchy here.

And I’ve been scoping out Kate Spain’s new line Cuzco–I always love a fabric line that has a rainbow of colors & I always feel like Kate really incorporates color into her fabric designs…love it!

And we all know how I feel about Bonnie & Camille’s lines of fabric–fabulous! Another little bundle of Vintage Modern fits right in!

Thank you, Thank you Moda Fabrics!

Happy B’day. Don’t worry, I can’t remember how old I am either. The older I get, the more I (want to) forget.

Happy birthday! I’m just a few months behind you but I rarely have trouble remembering. It’s usually with believing – I can’t believe I’m almost 34 since I’m so not a grown up… πŸ™‚

Can’t wait to get my hands on Vanessa’s fabric!

  6. Happy Birthday!!! I am glad I am not the only one to take 5 minutes to figure out how old I am πŸ™‚ So how did you get your hands on Vanessa’s new line already?? Is this part of some market sewing??

Happy birthday! It’s my birthday today too, although I’m 10 years older than you – and yes I have trouble remembering how old I am too and I do exactly the same calculations as you πŸ™‚ Remember how easy it was when we were 7 and we knew exactly how old we were down to the quarter year? Now the only reason I need to know it is to select the right age bracket when filling in forms.

  8. I love that fabric! I am not buying any more fabric until our Shop Hop here – but that isn’t too long, just over a month away. πŸ™‚

I’m 34 this year too. I somehow can remember how old my brothers are and I am two and four years older than each of them so that’s how I remember how old I am. LOL

Happy Birthday! I only can remember how old I am because all my best and long time friends are the same age. But honestly if you’d wake me up at 3 a.m. and ask about my age I’d say 20;-)
Love all this new colorful Modalines but Camille’s and Bonnie’s are the best (vintage modern and marmalde).

    Happy Birthday!

Happy birthday! I always have to think about how old I am. Once you run out of important birthdays like being able to drive etc. it’s hard to remember. A year or two ago, I went the whole year thinking I was a year older than I was. That was fun when I realized that I could stay the same age another year! I guess the next time I will need to know my age though, is when I can get my senior discount!

Happy Birthday! Look at all those wonderful fabrics πŸ™‚ I can never remember how old I am either but I do the same thing, okay born in 80 so I was 30 in 2010 add 2 years yup I’ll be 32 in October. Sneaking right on up there.

It feels good but a bit strange, too, what do you think?
I was born in 78, too, and it’s incredible how time flies by, we were just twenty, and now we’re in our mid thirties… πŸ˜‰

  22. Jean C. says:

Happy Birthday! Today (the 15th) is our DDIL b/day…. I’m thinking that your around the same age! But I must say… I didn’t start forgetting how old I was until the 40’s! LoL…. Just figure this…. 2012…. or 12 and 1978 is 8…12-8=4…. 34!
Hope it was a great day for you!
As some of the other’s have mentioned… I also forget how old I am… mostly cause I don’t feel as old as I am. My FIL is going to be 89 this year…
amazing hmmmm! But he just built a pinewood derby race track so the grandkids and greatgrands could have some fun! Keep busy stay happy and you’ll be 89 b/4 you know it I suppose! LoL…

  23. Cheryl says:

Happy Birthday! I usually start adding that year at least a month early, then I gave a hard time getting adjusted after the actual day rolls around. Your kids will get to an age that they remind you ALL THE TIME just how old you are. Oh well, it’s just a number.

  24. Jeanne M. Wallace says:

HAPPY BIRTHDAY hope you have a great day, and enjoy all that comes to you, HUGS Angeljeanne (jeanne) xox
