Blockheads Wednesday
Good Morning!–It’s time to share the next two Blockheads blocks. Have you guys been enjoying the two blocks a week?
Today’s blocks are brought to you by Jan Patek and Laurie Simpson. First up, Block 21–now, the original block for this week is an applique block. And while, I love applique–I did write a book on it!–I have decided not to do any applique for this quilt. So I designed an alternate block.
It still has the same feel of the original block but with no applique. You can find the original block 21 pattern on Jan’s site.
If you would like the pattern for the alternate block #21, you will find it here. I used all Sundrops fabrics for my block. Such a cherry little guy!
The second block is Economy Path by Laurie Simpson. You will want to swing by her site for the pattern.
I really enjoyed working on this block–and I made it scrappy as usual. You find, Flower Mill, Pepper & Flax, Sunnyside Up, Sundrops, & Lulu Lane represented.
And, I’ve provided the coloring pages for Laurie’s block as well as the alternate block I designed below.
