Quilts made using Sunnyside Up Fabrics

Good Morning Friends!  Before sharing today’s Blockheads block, I wanted to share about a fun time planned at Plaid Sheep Company here in Berlin, Ohio.

My Sunnyside Up fabrics are shipping this month and will be in your local quilt shops soon.  Plaid Sheep company will have the entire line and the precuts.

On November 30, from 2-7, I will be at the shop and I’d love to meet you.  You can come and shop the entire line and see the Sunnyside Up quilts in person.

And you’re excited about all of the fun things you are going to be able to make with the panel I designed for this line.

There are 8 different motifs included with each panel.

I hope to be able to meet some of you then!

On to our Blockheads Block for this week.  X Quartet is brought to us by Betsy Chutchian.  My block took a little bit of a different turn this week.  I inadvertently cut my pieces at the wrong size.  Everything fit together perfectly but when I was part way through piecing my block, I realized it was going to finish at 8″ rather than the 6″ I was aiming for.

I mulled over taking apart the pieces I had sewn together and trimming down all of the patches to the correct size.  But quickly realized I didn’t want to do that.  =)  I opted, instead, to center a 6 1/2″ square ruler on my block and trimmed all of the edges.

Not quite the same block, but still super cute & a lot less work than taking apart, re-trimming, and putting everything back together!  I used Pepper & Flax fabrics and Strawberry Jam.
