Cali & Co. Mystery BOM Block 10

It’s time for the next block release in our Cali & Co. mystery block of the month.

Download the Block 10 PDF pattern here.

Here’s the Tilda version beside the Cali & Co. version. I just love them both!

Such a fun, pretty block!

PS….I got so curious as I was typing up this blog post if I could find out when exactly I started that chevron quilt that I showed in last week’s video (my September WIP). So, I went poking around on my blog to see what I could find. The reason I originally starting blogging was to keep a creative journal of sorts that I could reference. And, lo and behold, I found it! These are the fabrics from that quilt

Any guesses on the date of that blog post? In the blog post, I said that the quilt along was going to be starting the Monday after I shared this fabric picture. I think in last week’s video I shared that I thought it was probably 10-15 years ago.

The date of the blog post was…..July 17, 2009. That makes it a WIP from over 16 years ago! So, don’t worry if you have WIPs that are a few years old. There is still hope for a finish. =) Now to get my completed quilt top quilted before another 16 years pass! Goodness, just thinking about the fact that this quilt was started when Elonie wasn’t even a year old…she just turned 17 last week!

Anyhow….just wanted to share that extra info with those of you that saw the quilt top last week. If you missed out on last week’s video, you can watch it here.

We also have a new video for you all today. It features the Cali & Co. block 10 tutorial, plus my sister Nicole stops by for a visit. She’s giving us a pregnancy update and also starting on a super simple baby quilt. We’ll see if she can get this quilt finished before baby boy makes his appearance. My guess is that there won’t be much sewing after his arrival (at least for awhile!).

Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a wonderful weekend and enjoy sewing up your Cali & Co. mystery block!

Good morning. I would like to do the 2025 quilt but missed out on being able to purchase Cali & Co fabric. Do you believe In the Garden fabrics will work? Thanks so much.

Thanks, Corey, for all of the work you do on these BOM projects! I’ve tried several others & I always have the most success with yours. You are such an engaging presence on the videos & your patterns are so well written & illustrated. Thank you for the teaser on the sashing 🙂

I’ve been playing with the cut off HST myself & can’t wait to see what you have planned for them!

    Have a great weekend!
