Cali & Co. Mystery BOM Block 7

It’s time for Block #7 of the Cali & Co. Mystery block of the month friends! When you look over today’s pattern you are going to be very excited about a new little tidbit of information.

You can download Block 7 here.

If you have followed the previous month’s patterns by doubling your half-square-triangles (and have not snuck any of those into other blocks) you now have enough half-square-triangles to complete the remaining blocks. Woohoo!…this is going to speed up the making of all of the blocks going forward. It’s nice to have just that little bit of extra piecing done each month from here on out.

Both my Tilda fabric blocks and my Cali & Co. fabric blocks are looking so pretty this month. =)

I filmed a tutorial for today’s block over on YouTube…for those of you Tiggs fans he makes a quick visit today. Also, I had a great viewer question about how to figure out yardage when you want to change the size of quilt. If that’s something you’ve wanted to do, you might find that segment in today’s video helpful.

I have also added a new option to my Etsy shop (at least for the time being). I am offering fat quarter grab bags and you can find them here. These are 8 fat quarter mystery grab bags featuring a variety of prints and colors from my various fabric lines over the years. I am working on de-stashing some of my fabrics. If you like Coriander Quilts fabrics, this is a fun way to introduce some new prints into your stash.

Thanks so much for stopping by and enjoy sewing up block 7. Have a wonderful weekend! Corey

Block 7 is completed 🧵 Like the other blocks, I can’t wait to try it with other fabrics as well.

Even though I have declared this ‘use what you have’ year, and I have stuck to it . . . how could I resist Corriander Quilts Mystery Fat Quarter Grab Bags? 7 months of no new fabric has to be some sort of record somewhere in the Quilting Universe. Always glad to see 🐈 Tiggs. Thank you for sharing Quilting Math also.

    Hi Corey,
I’ve been sewing along with my Tilda fabrics. Can’t wait to see the reveal. Thank you for your time to make a fun mystery sew along. Love watching your positive videos on Saturday mornings. Have a wonderful week.

I just moved my sewing room which gave me the chance to completely clean out my material bins. I pulled out stuff I knew I would never get around to using or had changed my mind about in the time since I initially bought it. I separated seasonal and everyday fabrics, stacked all my fat quarter bundles on top of my bins, according to designer, and then put fabrics by the same designer under their fat quarter bundles. Coriander quilts filled up the biggest number of bins easily. There’s just something about your designs that speak to me in a special way. I do have a couple of others that take up considerable room, too. You guys just make quilting so fun, with your fabric designs and your patterns, and your videos to keep us learning new techniques. I still have to get my sewing desk moved and my new cutting table assembled, so I am back to sewing on the dining room table. Baby steps…but I will get there.
