Can I Keep It?

Here’s my little lovely that I made for the Pincushion swap–and boy do I love it.  I am going to have a seriously hard time sending this on it’s way!! =)  Luckily I really enjoyed making it, as I may need to whip one up for myself.  I wasn’t sure how well it was going to go together–you will remember that paper piecing is not my forte.  This little pincushion finished out at 3″–with each quarter containing 10 pieces in a 2″ sized space or a total of 40 pieces in a 3.5″ sized space.  Needless to say I was a little bit intimidated!  I started out last evening thinking that I would try one quarter and see how it turned out & then I’d know if I wanted to make any more quarters or if I should throw in the towel.  Well, really it was so fun and easy I just kept on going and finished the whole thing last night.
Hope my partner likes it–if not she can always send it back to me!!

It's beautiful!!! I love the scrappiness of it. I can't believe how many pieces you fit into a pincushion. Amazing. You might have to make another one… there is no way you are getting that back. : )

Super duper cute! 🙂 I love it. I'm betting your partner will too. I always have to make two of swap items because I can almost bet that I'm going to want to hold on to whatever I make. 🙂 One for you… one for me. That's my motto!

I LOVE this! Is it your own pattern? If so, can you provide some details? If not, can you let us know where you found the pattern.

Adorable! Even with paper piecing, things that small can be so tricky. Did you shrink down a larger pattern?
