I use teach beginners, and I think, simple squares would be great!!!!!
The color stash you were showing, would be Perfect!!!!!!!
A Baby quilt would be perfect in 4 1/2″ cut squares.
Beginners like to sew in strip groups so it goes faster.
Just help her make her baby one of her first quilts! Let me know if you have any quilts. Simple squares really shine!
If you have Electric quilt you can scan all the fabrics in and place as you like.

You have to slow down on all the cuteness! I’m doing the tulips and block of the month and always want to start something new!
First congratulations Nicole and family on the exciting news about your baby boy coming around Thanksgiving. He will be here before you know it. Aunt Corey will be so helpful with the baby quilts. I see the wheels turning and looking forward to possibly seeing the quilt journey! 💕
A new baby, how exciting. Congratulations Nicole and family! My second son was born on Thanksgiving Day in 1994. He was a 9Lb 6oz butterball who made his debut during the half time show of the big football game- which was of course playing on the TV in L&D! We named him Gregory Andrew. Andrew was his older brother Christian’s choice, though the whole time I was expecting, Christian referred to the baby as ‘Lightbulb’.
Our family tradition is to keep both the gender and the name a secret until the arrival. My mother, convinced I was having a girl the first time, washed all of my little pink, ruffly baby garments that she’d been saving for decades in anticipation. In her defense, we did not know the gender the first time around either, so she had a 50/50 chance of getting it right.
Congratulations to Nicole on her first beautiful quilt and her baby . Corey you create the most beautiful fabrics and patterns. I just love them both and I like watching your show with Tiggs.
Great news for your sister. And I love Tigsy chewing on her quilt. He’s got excellent taste!
Congratulations Nicole! Your quilt is lovely! So well done. The Starberry is so cheerful. Good luck with your next quilt.
I am enjoying your quilt along and always ready for the next block, thank you for sharing
Hi Corey
How do I get July’s BOM? I cannot seem to find it. Thank you.
Congratulations Nicole! Your Calliope quilt is beautiful!!
A great program with you Corey, Tiggsy, and Nicole. Looking forward to seeing more of Nicole’s projects. I am currently making a scrappy single Irish Chain design with Coriander Seeds for the solid blocks. They are my “go to” for white/on/white backgrounds. Thanks for ALL your beautiful designs.
I love your beautiful fabric lines and your quilt books. You are so talented!
