Cuddle Up Sampler Sew Along News

Happy Saturday Friends! Today, I am excited to share more details with you about the upcoming Cuddle Up Sampler Sew Along kicking off this summer.

First off, Ryan and I shared a video this morning going over quite a few details over on our YouTube channel.

You can watch the video here.

The kick-off date for the Cuddle Up Sampler Sew along is Wednesday, June 26.  I will be releasing a new block tutorial every 2 to 3 weeks after the start date with the the finishing instructions being released on Wednesday, October 30. Cuddle Up Sampler is an intermediate level quilt that will finish at 70″ x 70″.

You can download a complete list of block tutorial release dates here.

You will need a copy of the Cuddle Up Sampler pattern book to participate in this sew along. You can check if your favorite quilt shop is carrying the pattern book. I also have copies available in my Etsy shop here. You can see/hear a bit more about the pattern book in the video we released today.

My sample is made using Starberry fabrics. Right now, Starberry is showing a beginning of June arrival into quilt shops.

You do not need to use Starberry fabrics to participate in the sew along. But, if you’d like to purchase a kit, I’ve listed shops that have let me know they are offering kits when Starberry Fabrics arrive to their quilt shops. If you are a quilt shop that is kitting Cuddle Up Sampler and you’d like added to this list, please let me know by leaving a comment below.

I love this fabric and your designs. I ordered the Wooley Sheep Quilt pattern last night. Thank you for sharing!

Oh, I was so disappointed when you said late May to early June for Starberry’s arrival 😭 I was hoping for something closer to May 1st 😊 Regardless of timing, it will surely be fun!
I just got my Sunny Patches quilt back from being long-armed (the first time I’ve had that done for myself!) and I was hoping for another quilt-along with you happening soon. I have had so much more success finishing my quilt tops with your sew alongs than any of the others I’ve done.
Thank you for brightening my weekend with another fun Saturday video! Wishing you & your family a beautiful spring weekend!

It had been mid-May but when I looked yesterday it was showing later in the month. I’m so glad you’ve been enjoying the sew alongs…I know I enjoy them!

  3. Charmaine says:

I am eager for this fabric’s release as well. I really like the patterns and colors I your prints.
As this is an intermediate quilt, it’s above my newbie beginner skill level. That doesn’t mean I can’t use the fabric in a less intimidating Christmas quilt or wall hanging.
    I enjoyed your video.

  4. Sandy says:

Have I missed the fabric requirements? I would get the pattern to check, but then if I buy a kit, the pattern may come with it.

  5. Joanna Shoemaker says:

By chance, will FQS also be doing a kit? Thanks! This is ADORABLE & thinking I’m going to have to add it to my ‘to sew’ list… It keeps growing & growing!!!

  6. Kathy says:

This looks like a fun one, Corey! I hope to join you in the quilt along. Although I LOVE your fabric line for this one, I think I will try to use something from my stash this time. Or maybe I will just get the kit! I’m am not ever successful to saying “NO” to myself about new fabric! So we’ll see!

  7. Patti McConnell says:

Will there be a PDF Downloable pattern by any chance?

  8. Kayleen Leone says:

I can’t find the PDF free download for the fabric requirements on your blog. Is it not available yet? I will be sewing along on this adorable quilt! Thank you.

  9. Sandy says:

    I found them. Thank you!

Corey, I left you a comment over on the YouTube video, but I wanted to talk to you about a T-shirt that I purchased about a month or so ago, and I could not find an email address or anything like that I did not want to leave it here, but I need to let you know. First I love the saying on the shirt, it is your one of your daughter’s s designs, the Seams Sketchy. I ordered a med. and it’s a med. but it must be a Med youth, because it is very small. My first thought was wow these run small and I had already ordered another shirt quilts and cats before I received the Seams Sketchy shirt; so when the quilts and cats showed up it was very obvious that they were not the same size. I had already washed it, but I don’t dry my t-shirts so I didn’t feel like I could send it back to you. I just wanted to let you know. Thanks so much for the great sayings on the shirts, they are awesome. My email should be attached to this. Thanks again Tracy Williams

Love this pattern and would love to take part in the quilt-a-long. When will you be doing a full PDF download of this pattern as I tried to purchase a booklet and the Etsy site say no delivery to UK.
    Thank you Pat

  12. Ansje says:

    That is an expensive pattern!

  13. suetobiason says:

Where can I find the Sugar Berries fabric for this ???

    • Corey says:

Starberry fabrics will be in quilt shops late May/early June. You’ll also find a list of shops I shared at the bottom of the blog post that are providing kits for Cuddle Up Sampler.

  14. Anna Crew says:

I am looking forward to Starberry arriving. I have pre-ordered the fabric. I bought the patterns off your shop. I would like to say I am prepared but that never seems to happen. Lol! I am super excited you are going to have a sew along for your Cuddle Up Sampler pattern. Thank you for taking time to sew with us. Anna

  15. My shop, Sew Much More Fabrics, in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma will be participating in the Cuddle Up Sampler Sew Along. We will be cutting kits and have patterns available.
My customers loved this last Sew Along and are looking forward to this one.

  16. Stacia Green says:

Hi Corey! Yet another gorgeous quilt! I will be making this for a sample for my local quilt shop, where I teach. The owner has already ordered the patterns and I spoke with her today about kitting this and she said she would! This is a lovely (and HUGE) quilt shop in an old grocery store building and people seem to enjoy shopping there. It’s called Stitcher’s Garden and the website is https://stitchersgarden.com/ Would you mind adding it to your list for having kits available? We are located in Brentwood, TN and I’m so excited to say that we will be carrying your lines! Thank you so much and I look forward to making this beautiful quilt.

  17. GAIL WITHROW says:

Hi Corey, My name is Gail and I own Quilt Patch Lane in Spokane, WA. I just received my fabric and will be kitting the Cuddle Up Sampler Quilt and would love to be added to your list of shops. We LOVE everything you do!

  18. Lori Doyle says:

I’ve recieved my 1/2 yd bundle and have ordered the extra yardage I’ll need. Your list above helped, as my usual quilt shop was out of some sku#. I’ve already started cutting in prep for the sew along. Can’t wait!!

  19. Chris Ceresa says:

Hi Corey. My shop, Country Quilt & Fabric in Willits, CA, will be participating in this sew along and we will have kits available. Thank you for all your hard work.

  20. Sue Gaffney says:

Fat Quarter Shop said their was a printing error in original book pattern and sent new copies, but I now I don’t know which book is which–didn’t mark them at the time. Can you tell me what page(s) had the problems? Thanks, Sue

    • Corey says:

The pages in the first copy you received were in the wrong order (all of the information is correct—just stapled wrong). So just make sure your pages are numbered correctly and you are all set.

  21. Renee Goodwin says:

Would a Fat Quarter Bundle of Starberry be enough to make the Cuddle Up Sampler?

  22. Janet G Luda says:

good morning, is it too late to sign up for a fabric kit for this sampler BOM? If I can I would like to get a sampler kit from somewhere sewing please? If not available there I will order from where I can get it please Janet Luda janontheriver@gmail.com 419 367 5774

    • Corey says:

Hi Janet! If Somewhere Sewing still has kits available, they will be happy to sell one to you. You would need to contact them directly. If they no longer have one available, you could check with any of the quilt shops listed at the bottom of the blog post. All of them were offering kits however you would need to check with them about the current availability.

Hey Friends!--I'd love to hear from you. =)
