Cuddle Up Sampler Sew Along: Week 1 {Tree Block}

The time has come for the kick-off block of the Cuddle Up Sampler Sew-along! I am excited to be sewing along with all of you once again.  These sew alongs are always so much fun!

If you’ve missed any of the Cuddle Up Sampler sew along news, you can find all of the posts that have been released so far here. This would include yardage requirements, pattern information, block tutorial release dates, and a cutting video.

We are kicking off with the tree block.

This is a fun one to start with. You can watch the block tutorial video here.

The book is set up in such a way that you could easily make 3 tree blocks to create an adorable tree runner.

This version measures 23″ x 59″ (including finished borders: 1/2″ white inner border and a 2″ green outer border). To make this runner, you would follow the tree block instructions to make 3 tree blocks, sew them together, and add borders of your choosing.

And of course, all of the blocks in this book would make beautiful pillows. This video explains how to turn any 18″ quilt block into a pillow.
