My Pattern Shop
Just a couple more days for quilt shops to place their #abloomfabricfabric orders. 😀 I can’t wait until these fabrics start rolling into shops this upcoming spring. It’s always so much fun to see what everyone makes. Be sure to let your favorite shop know that you’d love if they carried Abloom and/or preorder with them if they are taking preorders. #coreyyoder #corianderquilts #modafabrics #showmethemoda #madewithmoda #sewingmachinequilt
Someone pointed out to me that last year at this time, #starberryfabric was showing at #quiltmarket and this year we’ve just finished the Cuddle Up Sampler quilt that showed with Starberry. We’ve come full circle! I hope you all enjoyed sewing along…I always enjoying sewing with everyone and sharing the tutorials. Our next sew along kicks off in January and it’s gonna be a fun one! #coreyyoder #corianderquilts #patchwork #quilting #quilt #modafabrics #showmethemoda
It’s the last day to grab the Barn Star 4 pattern for $5 in the Coriander Quilts Etsy shop. My original quilt was made using #sugarcreekfabrics but I had to see what it would look like in #starberryfabrics and #caliandcofabrics Which is your favorite version? #holidayproject #holidaysewing #christmasproject #christmassewing #patchwork #quilt #modafabrics #madewithmoda #coreyyoder #corianderquilts
My fall has been just crazy!…I can’t wait to share about some of that soon. Because of some behind the scenes things, I wasn’t able to attend #internationalquiltmarket which is happening right now. So, I’ve teamed up with @modafabrics to host a fun #missingmarket giveaway. You can find out more about the giveaway and see some beautiful fabrics that are currently showing to quilt shops in my YouTube video today. Link to my YouTube channel is in my profile. #coreyyoder #corianderquilts #modafabrics #showmethemoda
The Abloom quilts trunk shown up on YouTube. 🎉 I’d love to know which of the 7 new quilts is your favorite. #coreyyoder #corianderquilts #patchwork #quilt #modafabrics #abloomfabric #corianderfence
Yesteryear is one of the two quilts I designed for #abloomfabrics that highlights the panel I designed for this collection. Adding the panel blocks to a quilt is such a simple way to bring a pretty touch to your quilt. A simple orange peel quilting motif by @quiltingbydavid gives such great texture and charm to the quilt.
Ohhhhh just wonderful!
I rather like the look of this . I have tried to enlarge for a closer look but no go.
I wonder is it one piece layered on top of another .
Really fresh looking
Thank you Kathleen!–It is layered–4 different layers but I cut out the back before adding each layer which really reduces the potential bulk.
I am in love with your quilt… the colours are beautiful!! Thanks for sharing.
Corey, this is really charming! Can’t wait to see it all quilted, washed and crinkly! Hugs!
Very pretty, and clever to cut out the back to reduce bulk.
It’s so pretty Corey! I want to make this quilt so much!
Wow! That looks beautiful.
that is a cool quilt! can’t wait to see it finished off
That is just gorgeous. Very creative. Is it your own design? And how smart to cut out the layer backs to reduce bulk.
The pattern is French Roses & it’s not my pattern. I’ve wanted to make one for awhile and am finally getting around to it. The pattern suggests cutting out the back & it’s really a wonderful suggestion!
trop jolie bravo
Very pretty.
I love the quilt and the fabrics you are using. It will be so beautiful.
This is beautiful!
I love this pattern. The fabric you used is just great! I made one too but kept it small without much in the way of borders. It is my favourite lap quilt for watching tv. Our cat loves it too. : )
I so love this quilt! I would love you to post some closer pics. xxx
When you showed the one flower block I wondered if that was for French Roses. I have the pattern, I have fabric…
YOURS is gorgeous. 🙂
lovely! I am in the middle of making a french roses quiltie myself! love your fabric pics!
LOVE IT!! 🙂 Barb.
It’s beautiful!
This is truly beautiful. How do you cut out the backs? Please share.

Thank you! For this pattern each block is comprised of the background square plus 4 flower layers. After sewing the first layer to the background fabric you flip the square over and cut out the middle of the background square leaving a quarter inch seam allowance. Flip the square back over, sew down the next layer, cut the backing away(you will now be cutting the first flower layer) & repeat twice more.
Beautiful!
I love how your mind works!
OOh So pretty!
It looks so lovely….. this quilt is on my TO DO LIST… the fabrics are even pressed…. 2012…..here it comes!
Looks lovely, can’t wait to see the finished product!
It´s so wonderful and delicate colors
Love it and the material.
Elaine
Lovely. I love the colours and the pattern – never appliqued and cut away the back. Sounds interesting.
