Fresh Forest Quilt & Giveaway
I’m always pumped when I get to share another finished project with you all! This is my Fresh Forest quilt which I designed for the holiday issue of Stitch Craft Create.
Fresh Forest is made using Vintage Modern & Ruby fabrics–both by Bonnie & Camille for Moda. This is the bundle of fabric that I used.
The quilting was done by Mary of Quilt Hollow. She used an all over pattern which turned out beautifully.
Of course I went with a stripey binding–it totally reminds me of peppermints or candy canes…perfect for this quilt!
The folks over at Stitch Craft Create Magazine liked my design so much they asked me to make a 2nd quilt for them. This time using Tilda fabrics.
I was very excited to work with the Tilda fabrics. They’ve been on my radar for awhile now–they are fabulous in person.
The kit for the Tilda version of Fresh Forest can be found here.
And of course, SCC has been kind enough to send me an extra issue of Stitch Craft Create to give away to a lucky reader. Just leave me a comment!
Love the quilt and the fabric!
This is so cute…I love the shabby look! I don’t usually like Christmas quilts, but this is so very cute. I think I will make it and just hope that mine turns out as cute as yours!!
These fabrics are wonderful!
That is so adorable. I really like it and the fabric is great.
Oh I LOVE this quilt—it would be the perfect pattern to make for my friend for Christmas—she has a love affair with everything ‘trees’. 🙂
That is such a cute quilt! I love the Vintage Modern version. Thanks for he chance to win a copy of the magazine.
I like Stitch Craft Create and would like to make the Fresh Forest quilt.
This is just too cute! I love Christmas quilts and I think I’m going to have to make this one. Add another thing to my to do list, lol
OMGoodness….I do love this pattern. Would love to own the magazine!!
Very cute pattern and the fabrics put a little modern spin on the quilt. Its fun seeing the pattern in 2 different fabrics, really gives you thought on how important fabric selection can be.
I love your quilt. It looks like it would be fun to make. I love the chance to win a copy of the magazine to get the pattern, Thanks
i love this fabric and pattern.
Love it! So festive but not just the traditional colors of Christmas. Might motivate me to start some Christmas crafts. Thanks for the giveaway!
What a cute and refreshing looking quilt. I would love to make one like it, especially since we live in the woods.
Congratulations! I don’t think I would ever get tired of seeing my work in print. It’s a great quilt. Although, I love to decorate for Christmas, putting it all up and taking it down is exhausting (we do a lot of decorating at our house). Your quilt is perfect for Christmas, but subtle enough to be left up after the holidays.
Love the quilt and both fabric choices! Thanks for the giveaway!
both quilts are gorgeous! I like it that the quilts are not in the traditional christmas colors 🙂
I love both versions, what a happy quilt, I will need to search out this mag 🙂
The Tilda fabrics are too cute! Love them!
They have been highly fashionable here in Germany for two or three years, and I’ve got several of the fabrics in my stash already. They are fabulous to work with and I have to hold myself back from buying more every time I walk by the collection at my local fabric shop. 🙂
Love it, love it, love it! I really like the Vintage Modern fabric line also.
Both versions are beautiful! Isn’t it amazing how the colors of the fabric change the feel of the quilt? Thanks for the chance to win the magazine. I was just browsing it while in line at Joann’s over the weekend and could not add one more thing to my cart – although I wanted to! Thanks again…..
What a darling quilt!
LOVE the quilt – you’re so creative! Is this pattern for sale anywhere by itself, or available in the magazine only? I’d like to make it in batiks. 🙂 And of course I’d love to win a copy of the magazine!

Gorgeous quilts and suitable for our down under summer Christmas as well.
Nice, very nice! The quilt is indeed “fresh”! I love the color choices! I made a Christmas tree wall hanging years ago with the traditional green trees with a Christmas fabric in the border—this is so much more fun and interesting! I think I’ll update my wall hanging.

Great use of fabric completely different from the usual Christmas fare. My eye has a chance to roam all over this wonderful quilt.

Christmasy, yet not Christmasy. Love the colors that you have chosen. I am so happy so see the trend of using white in the backgrounds of many quilts now. Seems to soften the quilt and lets the eye rest and enjoy the wonderful colors.
