Introducing Coriander Seeds
Happy Friday!–Today I am excited to share with you my new collection of fabric for Moda, Coriander Seeds. (and PS, the giveaway winner from last week is announced at the end of this post)
Coriander Seeds is a 10 piece white on white collection which brings back some of my old favorites and introduces some new “sure to become favorites”. =)
As I was cutting into the last bits of my white on white medallion print from Pepper & Flax, I knew that I needed more. It’s one of my favorite white on whites and I use it so often! In the picture above, it is the the left fabric in the middle row.
I didn’t photograph it very well in the picture below but in person it is so pretty!
I don’t know how many emails I get from customers asking for specific white on white fabrics that have sold out. And quilt shops have told me that customers will come in and buy bolts of my white on whites as soon as my lines hit the shelves.
We all love ourselves pretty white on white fabrics!
I will be so glad to add more of the little Sugarcreek floral back into the rotation!–I used it for the background of last year’s Fat Quarter shop charity quilt. I love this one!
And I know you’ve been looking for the orange peel from Spring Brook!…goodness, that’s a pretty one too.
And the new prints!…a pretty little dotted diamond, happy words, berries & vines, and the lacy polka dot from Pepper & Flax in a fun size.
If you haven’t worked with white on white fabrics before I like them for a few reasons but these are my top two. First off, they add a little bit of something special to the background of a quilt without being distracting. My white on white collection is the same shade as all of my previous white on white fabrics. It perfectly matches the Bella Solid 9900-200…a beautiful warm white.
Secondly, they have more body than a white solid. This means that they piece beautifully. I love piecing with them because I know my blocks will be nice and crisp.
Another fun thing about Coriander Seeds is that there are precuts with this line! Beautiful bundles of white on white goodness will be available. It will come in charm packs, layer cakes, jelly rolls, and….a half yard bundle.
When I was photographing these fabrics for the Moda catalog, I didn’t have the precuts yet so I made up the adorable little mini bundle just for the photos…I think it’s pretty sweet but I’m more excited for the actual bundles in the line!
The Moda sales reps are visiting quilt shops right now to take orders for these fabrics. If you’d like your local shop to carry these fabrics I’d encourage you to let them know right away so they can order them–they only have a short ordering window to insure delivery. Or, if you know you’d like a whole bolt of a specific fabric, let them know!
I have new patterns for this collection that I will be sharing with you all soon. They are so cute!–can’t wait to share more.
In other news, I have so much fun reading through your comments last week for my giveaway. Thank you to all who read and commented!–it was so much fun to read through your comments!
The winner of the Beautiful Day fat quarter bundle and ruler box is Michelle Earl who said:
It’s a Beautiful Day on the Prairie where there are Sundrops by the Flower Mill off Lulu Lane. The eggs are served Sunnyside Up with Pepper & Flax. Strawberry Jam is a favorite on Canning Day where Sugarcreek and Springbrook meet. The end of the day is a great time to Cozy Up with an Apricot & Ash by the fire.😁
Looking forward to this QAL!
I’ve sent you an email Michelle!
And just a quick reminder that Star Twist is my $5 pattern of the month. You can find the pattern for the quilt in my Etsy shop.
Have a wonderful weekend everyone!–we are expecting a bit of snow (and it seems like many of you may be as well!) Stay warm and safe! Corey
Thank you for designing these. I love the designs. I’m always looking for new white on white fabric.
Love your Coriander Seeds fabrics, will have to choose a favorite to purchase a bolt of. Congratulations to Michelle for her special win…….her comment was so cute and clever! Fun!
This is wonderful! I love your white on whites! And now I need to make a cute mini bundle!
Gorgeous White on White!!! I need this in my life!
Ohmigosh! White on whites are a must in my stash! Your Coriander Seeds are gorgeous and I will definitely have to look for them in a quilt shop. If not, I’ll order them online!
I love the wording on your new line of white on white fabrics. It will be exciting to see your new line in the quilt stores. 👏🎉
These look great! I’m a bugfanof white on white fir backgrounds! Can’t wait to get some.
Congratulations to Michelle! Loved her comment. Love this fabric and can’t wait to get some for myself!
These are beautiful Cory- really love the text and lacy circle prints!
Finding white on white fabric is difficult when shopping at area store where quilts fabric is a priority. It’s so refreshing to see so many options in design you are giving us. Sure makes a cold dreary day….a ray of sunshine in the sewing room !
Your new white on whites are beautiful and I love them, but the fabric shown on top of the wood table makes the white look so thin. Is the new white on white going to be thin that you can see through them.
They are the same as Moda’s usual white on whites. If you’ve ever purchased any from my previous lines (or any of the precuts from my lines would have included white on whites) they are comparable.
Corey, Thank you for your reply and I can’t wait to find them in my quilt shops. They are beautiful. And, I love your patterns too!
Happy Friyay Corey!
White on whites are a must have favorite of mine! Can’t wait to get my hands on your new line! Looking forward to Coriander Seeds sprouting up in my local quilt shop!
Stay safe and warm!
I love the white on white prints, they look so fresh and clean. Also I like to know where you got the box made with rulers, they look old. I have been looking for them for a while. They would go with the wall thread holder my husband had made me a while back. It has rulers around the outside edge of the door.
Aren’t those boxes adorable! I get them from Gratitude Wood Shop on Etsy. I shared about them and linked to the shop in my blog post last Friday.
I love the white on white fabrics. These are very pretty. They go with sooooo many fabrics. I agree they add more body to the fabric (and not to my body) I would love to plant the Coriander Seeds in my quilt garden.
I can’t wait to get me done Coriander Seeds fabric.
Oh these white on whites are so amazing. They feel like a fresh spring day with laundry hanging on the line. Looking at them reminds me of that morning you step outside after a strong snowstorm and the light blinds your eyes for a moment. Thank you sort of, you’ve probably just ruined my promise not to buy more fabric for awhile!!! Well, a girl’s gotta do what a girl’s gotta do!! I’ve never bought a whole bolt of anything but perhaps this could be a first for me!!
Hi Corey, I love that you put together your whites in a line. I pre-ordered a half yard bundle and cannot wait to receive it. I would love to buy bolts of my favorites. Is there a way to do that?
I’ve mentioned before that P&F is my absolute favorite fabric line of all time. I have a whole drawer of it along with several patterns just waiting their turn at the sewing machine.
And a big Congratulations 🥳 to Michelle, enjoy your Beautiful Day!
Your white-on-white fabrics are always so beautiful, and I love that you have created a line of them. I love the little pin cushions too. So dainty looking. I love the old ruler boxes-I was able to purchase one years ago at my local quilt shop. Your fabrics are also so very lovely! Thanks Corey for all the beauty you put out into our world!
Coriander seeds prints are perfect. So exciting to see it will be available in charm packs. Will it also be available in mini charms?
Do you carry creamy white?
I am loving your white on whites. Actually I’m awaiting your beautiful day line. Just starting Picket Fences but going to use Cosy Up.
I am a big fan of white on whites! Your white is a wonderful shade and works with just about everything! I can’t wait to get a bundle when it hits the shops.
I love these white on white fabrics. Looking forward for them in the stores.
I love the new seeds line of fabrics… but a question. For precuts, why will there be no fat quarters? I just received your new sheep pattern Wooly Stars, and it gives instructions for 9 fat quarters… would love to use these fabrics!!
