Moda Block Heads Block 13
Welcome to week 13 of the Moda Block Heads weekly block along.
Jen Kingwell designed our block this week, The Baldwin. You can find the pattern on her blog. This block is a simple to paper piece block. If you are a newbie to paper piecing this one shouldn’t give you any problems. One thing I would suggest doing is after you have printed out your templates (make sure to check the 1″ scale box on your printout to ensure it has printed out at the correct size) and then write in your color placement directly on your pattern.
I decided that this was going to be another “rainbowized” block so when I printed out my template, I wrote down where each color went along with all of the whites. This kept me from any confusion on color placement.
I really like the way all of the blocks are coming together. I decide week by week what colors need added to balance everything out.
I hope all of you are staying healthy and safe. I am really enjoying having both girls home right now. Next year, we are homeschooling both girls (this year just my oldest has been homeschooled), and I think the routine is going to work well for us.

What a beautiful version of Jen’s block! Writing the colors on the papers is a great tip. Thank you!

As always lovely prints and pattern! ThAnk you
Thank you!–it’s such a fun sew along. =)
Corey… you’re quilt is gorgeous! The colors are just so yummy!! I’m really liking that pink! It’s a shade you don’t see too often… but it gives such a vibrance to the quilt!
Hugs from Mama_Pris in Idaho 💗
Thanks so much Pris!–I always enjoy a sunny palette. =) Have a wonderful day. =)
Cannot get this block because it says my virus says this website is compromised.
You might have to wait until it’s uploaded to the Moda Block Heads group on Facebook or when it’s uploaded to the Moda Block Heads Archive. I was just on Jen’s website and it is working fine so it sounds like your computer is blocking the site.
Unable to get the block from your link, or from Jenn’s blog link.

I can”t access Jenn’s pattern from your link, or her web page. Thank you.

Same here. Jen’s blog is basically blank. This is such a beautiful pattern and I really want to download it. Do you have a link to the Moda Block Heads archive? They really need a centralized place to access the patterns. I love going to the artist’s blogs, however they do not always work.
Definitely bookmark the archive if you haven’t already! It’s got all of the blocks to date, including alternates, linked: https://my.modafabrics.com/inspiration-resources/block-heads-3-archive. Right now it has a link to Jen’s blog (which has been working all day for me) but after a few days there will be a direct link to the block pattern if you haven’t been able to access her site.
