Moda Block Heads Block 27

Welcome to week 27 of Moda Block Heads..this week our block is a diamond shaped block called Proposal.

It is brought to us by Jen Kingwell and you will find the block pattern here.  You really need to go and read her blog post and you’ll hear about the story behind today’s block pattern.  And, it just so happens to be Jen’s wedding anniversary today.  So go wish her happy anniversary!  You will also find some of the designer’s sharing their wedding photos on the blog posts today as well.

Look how young we were!–I was 19 when Ryan and I got married and he had just turned 23 the week of our wedding.  We will be celebrating 23 years of marriage this November.  I can’t even imagine my 15 year old daughter getting married in 4 years!

This block was a fun one to piece.  It is a paper pieced block.  I opted for the 4 inch size again this week and bordered it out to bring it to 6 1/2″.

 I couldn’t resist how perfectly this block was designed for rainbow order.  I used a mix of fabrics from various lines…in color order.
