A Piece of Work A partial layout

November was my turn to send fabrics out for the APOWA bee. I had been admiring this quilt by Red Pepper Quilts(she has a great blog that you really need to check out). So, I send out a bunch of white Kona cotton along with a bunch of scraps to each member of the group. This is an amazing stash busting quilt if you are looking for one. I asked that no fabrics be repeated within each block & I included just over 50 different fabrics to each person.

The blocks have started trickling back in, I am just wating on a couple more and then I can piece it all together. I plan to do the pieced sashwork just like the original quilt–I just love the way it looks. I layed out a couple of the blocks to see how it was coming together and I really like the splashes of color on the white background. =) Definitely some spring in my winter!
