Scrappy Gifts Block, Fabric Mix/Match, Exciting Coriander Quilts News, $5 December Pattern

I couldn’t fit all of the things I talk about in today’s video in the title of today’s blog post! You’ll have to be sure to watch if you want to find out the exciting news. =)

First up, a new month (almost!) means a new $5 pattern of the month. December’s $5 pattern of the month is Jelly & Jam.

Jelly & Jam in Sugarcreek

When I filmed this video, I had forgotten that I’ve actually made this quilt twice…that tells you I make a lot of quilts! In the video, I shared about the one I made using Sugarcreek. But, the first one I made used my fabric line Flower Mill:

It’s such a great jelly roll quilt! Here are a couple more versions. This first one is made using Cali & Co. which is in quilt shops now.

And this second version is made using Abloom fabrics. The sketch fabric in the line is so pretty for the background of the quilt. Abloom will be in quilt shops in the spring. You can purchase the Jelly & Jam pattern here.

Next up, let’s talk about the new scrappy block. =) I’ve designed a Scrappy Gift block to add to our line-up.

You can download the Scrappy Gift block here.

If you’ve missed any of the previous Scrappy blocks, I’ve linked to the blog posts where each PDF can be downloaded below.

Scrappy Clover

Scrappy Heart

Scrappy Tulip

Scrappy Flag

Scrappy Tree

Scrappy Snowflake

Scrappy Butterfly

Scrappy Bunny

Scrappy Carrot

The video includes more info about the Jelly & Jam quilt as well as the Scrappy Gift block. I’m also sharing some mix and match fabric options for Abloom. And don’t forget about that fun announcement. =)

Lastly, Nicole had a great idea to offer a pattern bundle that features the quilts in the YouTube backdrop.

Right now, the quilts featured are: Scrappy Evergreens, Deerly Loved, Ribbons All Around, and Wishes. The discounted bundle with free shipping can be purchased in the Coriander Quilts Etsy Shop. It’s available in both Paper and PDF versions.

Have a wonderful weekend! Corey

You have sometimes had a scrappy turtle behind you, but I cannot find a pattern for him. I have all the other scrappy blocks and really love them. That turtle would be a terrific addition!

The email sign up is at the top of my blog on the left side. If you are on a tablet/device, turn it sideways (landscape) and you’ll see pull down arrows on the left/right to open those menus.

I love your videos, and always enjoy seeing the new patterns and fabrics. I did purchase the Star Twist pattern last month, and I love how you did the sashing in the pattern. I am planning on making Star Twist in Peachy Keen and wondered what you would suggest for the sashing with Peachy Keen? Thank you Corey!

    • Corey says:

If you wanted something similar to that sketch fabric that I used on the original Star Twist quilt, you might wait and purchase the sketchy fabric from Abloom. It’ll be out later in the spring of 2025 and will give a similar look to the original. With the side by side comparison of Peachy Keen with Abloom in the most recent video, you can get a great idea of what that fabric would look like.
