September Quilting Bees
Well, it has been brought to my attention that my blog posting skills are a bit shabby, so, I’ll try to bring everyone up to speed(somewhat).
First off, wonky houses were on the agenda for the International Stash Busting Bee, I did up these two little guys and added a touch of embroidery and applique. The witch fabric and the orange swirly fabric were sent to me and I supplied the other fabrics from my stash. I really enjoy this bee–it’s fun to do a little fabric shopping from my stash & it allows me to use combos that I might otherwise not have chosen. Hop on over here to see more of these little wonky houses.
Next up, more Halloween goodness for Kimmie in the Hip to Bee Square group. Kimmie sent a great little monster block & some fun Halloween fabrics. She asked for traditional blocks. I really like the way the monster block turned out–it took me a little bit to decide on the pattern that I wanted to use but, it was a fun challenge. I also threw in a couple little 9 patches. This is going to be a fun quilt to see once it is all finished. You can see more of Kimmie’s blocks here
And, my last September Block was for the APOWA bee. We were asked to make 12.5″ Log Cabins, traditional or wonky. I opted for a more traditional design and added just a smidge of applique. You can see more of these little Log Cabins here
So, that sums up my September blocks. I am nearly finished with all of my October ones, so I should have that post up soon(hopefully). I joined another totally fab bee so, I’ll have an extra block to share with you in my next bee post.
