Sewcialites Block 27

Welcome to week 27 of the Sewcialites quilt along.  Our block this week is brought to us by Vanessa of V & Co.

If you’ve been following along with my blooming Redbud tree…look at it this week!–All purple and delightful.  And it’s a rainstorm of white petals from all of the pear trees.  Spring is so pretty!

You will find the block pattern for this week in the usual spots on the Fat Quarter Shop Blog here  or all of the blocks that have been released so far can all be downloaded here–so be sure to bookmark this link!   This is the handiest spot to visit to download the blocks.

If you look at my block in comparison to the block pattern, you will notice I made a change to the center of the block.  I hadn’t planned to!  I was happily cutting out my block and as I was cutting the fabric for the center of the block, I fussy cut the daisy.

When it came time to piece the block, that piece of fabric was supposed to be used for HST’s.   I just hadn’t been paying attention! I decided I didn’t want to cut it up, so opted for a solid center instead.  This did speed up my piecing time which I didn’t mind. =)

On Monday, I am releasing the first block of Spring Brook Blossoms….are you sewing along?  I will see you then!  Have a beautiful weekend! Corey

As always, your blocks are gorgeous. How could they not be with this gorgeous line. You know I have always regretted and felt sad that I had missed out on pepper and flax line. Thank you sew very much for Spring Brook. This collection is similar to Pepper and Flax in colors with the amazing addition of this making my heart throb and lots of smiles of this blue. Adore the blue! Such an amazing addition. Sew happy and cheerful! Your my absolute first choice favorite. Love your fabric lines and patterns. Every single time. Btw- besides yardage, fat quarter bundle, layer cake, jelly roll, charm packs and mini charms – I’m pretty sure I have myself covered with Spring Brook and can release carrying my sadness over missing out on Pepper and Flax – lol!

Hey Friends!--I'd love to hear from you. =)
