Sewcialites Round 2, Block 19

Our little block for today’s Sewcialites block release is brought to us by Joanna of Fig Tree Quilts.

You will find the block pattern here.

This one took a little bit longer to piece than some of the previous weeks.  I did opt to use triangle paper where I could.

I was able to use the 1 1/2″ square in a square paper for the F/C pieces which was nice.  The smallest size I had was the 1 1/2″ finished but the 1″ finished is the size that I would have needed.  The 1 1/2″ finished worked, I just had to trim to size after using the paper.  If you want to use square in square paper, you would cut your print square to the same size as your piece of paper and only put background triangles on two adjacent corners (rather than all four).

Have fun sewing up your block this week! Corey

I’ve been hoarding my Spring Brook fabric. You know, the stuff you love so much you can’t cut into it? Your Sewcialites blocks are inspiring me to take it out finally and make a beautiful quilt.
