Sunday Best Quilts Sampler Block 4
Welcome back to Week 4 of the Sunday Best Quilts Sampler quilt along. =)
Today we will be sharing about Sherri’s Driftwood Drive block. This block utilizes partial seams–but don’t let that intimidate you. They are simple and not tricky at all. Sherri did a wonderful video tutorial on these blocks that is very helpful if you’ve never used this technique before.
Making one block for the sampler quilt is a great introduction to partial seams.
My block is located in the top left of my sampler quilt.
The fabrics I used for this block are as follows:
29070-20 (large dark gray floral)
29072-20 (small dark gray floral)
29071-21 (light gray floral)
29073-17 (blue floral)
29074-19 (green alphabet)
29070-16 (yellow floral)
29072-14 (pink floral)
29070-11 (red floral)
29075-32 (white floral)
I also mocked up Driftwood Drive in Sugarcreek. Since the quilt is jelly roll and charm pack friendly, you might already have what you need on hand to complete the quilt. Or, this gives you a great excuse to visit your LQS. =)
It is such a perfectly, scrappy quilt. =) Now, on to the sampler block.
