Well, I changed my mind

And I have decided to go with the non shaded version. =)  I am so happy that I went with my gut feeling as I am feeling much better about this version.  I used Moda’s Bliss fabric for the coin border–man, this is really a great line of fabric.  I have way too many projects that I would love to use this fabric for.  It is really just stunning.
I just need to finish up the stitching around the outer border and then it will be ready to quilt.  It’s just gonna be a little mini quilt.  Now, how would you quilt it?  I was thinking about just doing a little bit of stippling in the border sections and leaving the stitching areas as they are.  What do you think?

I really like the Bliss line too! So far I have a layer cake and jelly roll, but I definitely "need" a yard or two of the dots. And I'm clueless when it comes to quilting suggestions…

I agree with your quilting ideas, your stitching is so lovely just let shine all by itself. I too love the Bliss line, bought a fat quarter bundle; now to find the perfect project for it.

That is so fun and happy! I agree with "Four Dogs", leave the stitching to shine on its own – it's fantastic. And stippling or straight lines in the border, I think would be just enough.

I am coveting Bliss….but I have so much fabric, and so little time….I am guessing I will buy it anyway, but I will feel better about it if I act guilty first 🙂

This is soooo gorgeous I love it! I agree with you on the quilting, leave the stiched area quilt free!! I hope I'm your partner…..

It's precious! Yes, I agree with everyone else too. I would keep the embroidered portion quilting free – you don't want any distraction from the already lovely stitching. I'm envying the fabric line too & laughing hysterically at the thought of acting guilty before the purchase. I'm sure I can find some reason to 'reward' myself with some yummy new Bliss fabrics.
