Winter’s Lane Fabric
I have been just itching for a reason to purchase some Winter’s Lane fabric. My LQS got the complete collection in several weeks ago and the last 3 times I’ve been in I have ogled this fabric trying to figure out if I need it and what to make with it.
You might remember a couple weeks ago I mentioned this fabric in my Supersized intro. post. I thought this would make a beautiful SuperSized sampler. I almost convinced myself to purchase some then to make another sampler but then I thought that I really don’t “need” two samplers.
It was totally that aqua & red berry fabric that kept calling my name. It’s my favorite print from the whole line. It’s the perfect aqua-y, not too teal color. Well, and of course the cute birdies. Which incidentally are perfect with the aqua berries.
And, come in delightful colors.
They are going to lend themselves very nicely to some fussy cutting. I also really like that this line is a “Winter” line and not a Christmas line.
I have another pattern that I designed for RJR fabrics that I need to test and these fabrics will do just the trick. I had planned to use fabrics from my stash–but new fabrics sounded a lot more exciting. Plus, I had been searching for a reason to purchase them! =p
I am waiting on one fabric that my LQS already sold out of from this line. It’s just like the aqua berry print except in that fab taupe color.
It should be here soon and then I am diving into these fabrics–actually I might have to start doing some cutting today. =) I love when Moda gets new fabric designers! This is Kate & Birdie’s first line of fabric for Moda and they have another cute one coming out next month called Bluebird Park. Actually you can purchase pre-cuts for Bluebird Park already.
Anything fancy you have your eye on these days?
Love this line. this is my ideal christmas fabric – can’t wait to see what you do with it!
That is just the most beautiful fabric, that I have ever seen.
You know what I would like to do with it your Birdie Stitches, I think it would look awesome. thanks for sharing with me.

I must have that fabric, how beautiful. Dying to see what you make with it Corey.

I fell victim to this fabric too but it only took one visit to my lqs. I spent over an hour walking back and forth between it and the neutrals that I told myself I should buy. Can’t wait to see what you do with it.
I started using mine, I am working on a tree skirt (I know early but otherwise it might not happen!) with some quilting linen, my lqs did not have any of the aqua, I might have to find some! looking forward to seeing what you are going to make with it.
Normally, I don’t care of seasonal fabric prints, but this one catches my eye and my heart. Love it!
These colors are absolutely gorgeous and perfect all winter long. I have been looking at fall fabric collections and I love sun kissed harvest!
I love your choice of fabrics and can’t wait to see what you make. I know you will make something beautiful.
I just had to buy some of this line but I haven’t been sure what to with it but you’ve given me ideas!
Oh, this is SO beautiful!!!
Now that you showed me this one, I’ll be looking for it!
I purchased this fabric when it came out. I absolutely love it and can’t wait to see how you use it!
Isn’t that a beautiful line? They are Canadian girls too! We sold out of layer cakes in about 5 days ; ) Really looking forward to seeing what you sew up
I bought some of the Winter Lane fabrics. I love them! But I haven’t decided on a pattern yet. Wish I could find one I really like.
I saw this Winter’s Lane fabric at my LQS too, and I love it! It’s so gorgeous. And, I echo the sentiments about Kate and Birdies’ designs. I got my hands on Bluebird Park when a shop released charm packs before the yardage was released, and the quilt I made with the charms turned out so cute. It’s a great fabric line as well. Can’t wait to see how your project with the Winter’s Lane turns out!
love the birds!
Thank you so much for posting our collection! We look forward to seeing what you and your readers create with our fabrics. – Gloria
I had to get some as well, but it wasn’t until I saw a post on another blogger’s site that showcased it in a table topper (blog was http://www.thecraftyquilter.com). I got my fat quarters and I’m ashamed to say I haven’t made it yet. But it’s all ready to go when I am! I also got a FQ bundle of the Bluebird Park, but I don’t have plans yet for it. Still looking.
I love this line and think a sampler would be perfect! If not that – what are you going to make? I’d love some ideas for this line.
I love this fabric too. I just bought some fat quarters in it but you have several prints that I don’t have. I might have to do some more shopping 🙂
Here is the link where I blogged about it and the pattern I plan to make.

So gorgeous… I might have to start looking for some. It really captures the essence of winter!
I’m trying to find a yard of this fabric line — Mistletoe in berry red. Does anyone know where I might find it? Thank you!
