16 Jelly Roll Quilts Round Up
Today, is National Sew a Jelly Roll day so I thought it would be a fun time to share a jelly roll quilt round-up here on my blog as well as over on my YouTube channel. If you’d like to see a very quick chat of most of the quilts in this blog post, you can see today’s video here.
These are some of the jelly roll patterns that I’ve designed over the years. First up is In Addition:
I designed In Addition using my Strawberry Jam line of fabric. This quilt finishes at 97″ x 89 1/2″. The pattern is available in my Etsy shop here. Also, as a reminder, I always list the fabric requirements of my patterns in my Etsy listings so you can easily see what you would need to make the quilt. That information will either be found in the Description OR in the photos of each listing.
Apricot Jelly is a quilt that I designed for the book “Moda All-Stars On a Roll”. This book includes 14 different jelly roll quilts. I used a scrappy mix of my fabrics a scrappy mix of my fabrics to make Apricot Jelly. I cut my own custom jelly roll from fabrics I had in my stash. This is a great stashbuster quilt & it finishes at 68″ x 84″. The On a Roll book can be purchased in quilt shops. It is also available on Amazon.
Pretty Frames is another quilt I designed for a Moda-All Stars book. This one can be found in the second Moda All-Stars jelly roll book called On a Roll Again! This book includes another 14 jelly roll quilts from a variety of designers. For Pretty Frames, I used Spring Brook fabrics. This quilt finishes at 64″ x 77″. The On a Roll Again book can be purchased from quilt shops. It is also available on Amazon.
Backroads is a two for one quilt. It uses 2 jelly rolls. While you are making the main quilt pictured above (which finishes at 72″ x 84″), you will have cut-offs left over that you can use to make a second quilt (that finishes at 60″ x 70″) pictured below.
I used fabrics from my Lulu Lane collection for these quilts. You can find the Backroads pattern here.
Crosswinds is a quilt I designed for my Spring Brook line of fabric. It finishes at 58″ x 72″. You can find the pattern available here.
The next two quilts (the one above and the one below) can both be found in the book Sunday Best Quilts which I co-authored with Sherri McConnell. Gladdening, pictured above, is made using Return to Winter’s Lane by Kate & Birdie. It finishes at 56″ x 70″
Dayflower uses 2 jelly rolls. I used one of Nest and one of Sugar Pie both by Vanessa Goertzen of Lella Boutique. Dayflower finishes at 72″ x 90″. I have signed copies of Sunday Best Quilts that have been signed by both Sherri & myself in my Etsy shop.
Next up is Jelly & Jam. I have made this quilt twice…it is such a quick fun one to piece. I made it above in Sugarcreek fabrics and below in Flower Mill fabrics:
Jelly & Jam finishes at 60″ x 72″. Patterns are available in my Etsy shop here.
Heart Threads is a quilt I designed for my Coriander Seeds line of fabric. The whites in the quilt are all different white on white fabrics. This quilt finishes at 80″ x 103″. Patterns are in my shop here.
Jelly Sticks is one of my newest jelly roll patterns. I made it using my Buttercup & Slate fabric line which is just now in quilt shops. Jelly Sticks finishes at 56″ x 68″. The pattern is in my shop here.
Generations of Love is a jelly roll quilt from my Oh, Happy Day! book. I used At Home fabrics by Bonnie & Camille for this 60″ x 68″ throw sized quilt. I have signed copies of Oh, Happy Day for sale in my shop here.
Dandelion Gravy finishes at 70″ x 70″ and was made using Canning Day fabrics. The pattern is in my shop here.
I think my Tulip Market quilt is so pretty! It was made using Flower Mill fabrics and it finishes at 68″ x 83″. You’ll find the pattern here.
Pumpkin Festival is another festive jelly roll quilt. It finishes at 72″ x 92″ and I used my Cozy Up fabrics for this one. Patterns are in the shop here.
And rounding out my jelly roll quilt line-up is Wooded Whimsy. Wooded Whimsy finishes at 60″ x 72″ and was made using my Holliberry line of fabric. Patterns can be found here.
I hope you’ve enjoyed this jelly roll quilt line-up. =) It was fun looking back at some of the different jelly roll patterns that I’ve designed. Whether you are joining in on National Sew a Jelly Roll day or not, I hope you have a wonderful Saturday! Corey
So many beautiful Jelly Roll quilts! Thank you for all your inspiration!
You are so welcome—thank you!
Wow! I love every single one of your beautiful quilts. I will save this post to refer to when I’m looking for inspiration!
Thank you so much!
Loving the jelly rolls in the top picture (which is also in your blog post). Wondering if that’s jelly rolls you created with many lines or if it was just one line. With the wrapped fabric, I thought you created it. Wishing to find some like that…!!!!
You’re right…they were jelly rolls that I put together. =) I can’t say for sure (as I don’t remember) but the fabrics look like they could have been the ones that I used for the Apricot Jelly quilt l(second one down).
Corey,
I was watching Triple Play by Missouri Star Quilt Company. Jennie used your new fabric line on her quilt!!! It is so pretty!!!!
I saw that!
They are all so beautiful! I want to do them all. I’m in love with your fabrics. Waiting patiently for my LQS to receive your new line Buttercup and Slate! So yummy! Thank you!
Thank you so much Karen!!
Your blogs are like a breath of fresh air. – always positive and happy. Thanks for all you share and for being a bright spot in my day.
I have to dig out my On a roll book. Just love Apricot Jelly.
Hi Corey, I love jelly rolls, they’re everywhere in my sewing space!! I never know what to do with them, but they are pretty! Corey,I’ve been trying to figure out how to reach you. I’m ready to start the Woolly Stars quilt but I can’t figure out what thread color to piece with??? I’m stuck. I’ve cut it all out and ready to start stitching, please help me???
Cute, cute, cute! My daughter and I are true fans!!
So many gorgeous quilts!!!
Love watching your videos. I have a planner with very ambitious (too ambitious?) goals – I pick three things I want to get done each day. Tonight after work is Christmastime mystery block #2; sewing sashing to rows (already pinned) and then rows to make a quilt top; prepping a backing for the same top. Will I get them all done? Probably not. But I’m moving with direction and purpose.
