A Scrappy Starberry Christmas Quilt

About 2 months ago, I had an idea for a quilt. I decided to take you along for the ride. =)

Come along with me from my initial idea, planning the quilt (some quilt math), cutting, block construction, and finally a completed quilt. =) You can watch the video here.

Happy Saturday Friends!

Hi Corey – thanks for the new Youtube video and designs. Would love to see the Season of stars quilt , the bonus quilt in the fantastic Coriander Christmas pattern booklet, coloured in Starberry

Hi Corey! I look forward to your Saturday morning videos. I love your fabric and patterns. You do inspire me to get into the sewing room and make something pretty.

What a fun experiment! I’d love an Irish chain or another log cabin with scraps done this way. So fun! Thanks!

Hey Corey! You are so fun to watch! While I’m an “old gal” I’m new to quilting and have not made a log cabin block. Just keep on giving us the math so that the math geeks can follow along 🎄I’m going to try this one😃

Hey Corey – Loved your video – fun to watch one of the professional designers show how they tackle an idea. I design my own quilt backs – putting a label in the label row, and using up a lot of the extra fabric from the project. I have a small sewing room, so scrap management is important. I too have tried EQ but find I feel better if I do the math myself. Never understood in school why math would be so important in my life – maybe if they taught “quilting math” I would have done better LOL!! Thanks again for a very interesting and informative video. I have always wanted to make a log cabin quilt and now I guess I have to jump in!!

Love watching your step by step process! Very interesting!

  7. What a great idea! I do love to use up scraps and I have (literally) so many sandwich bags full of 2.5″ squares of red already cut! I don’t know why I don’t use red more often, probably because I always fear the bleed risk.

I’m thinking of doing my “Cuddle Up Sampler” at half size but now I’m also thinking scrappy 🙂 Thanks, Corey!

    Good afternoon,
I just ordered the Cuddle Up Sampler Quilt Kit. Can’t wait to start working on it. I have a question….how would I make the deer instead of the sheep? My late husband was a deer hunter and your deer would be a nice thing to put in my sampler.
Thank you for your consideration. Love watching your videos.

Are you going to sell this pattern

  10. I really like this concept of a scrappy quilt
