As Promised

My Sew New To Me VQB blocks that I have received so far.
(Top to Bottom from L to R)

Don’t they look so pretty up there?  The girls had a lot of leeway with design on these–I asked for blocks featuring triangles & squares & I received such wonderful variety from everyone.  After receiving them, I decided to add a small gray border to each.  The blocks were so varied, both in design and in size, so I really wanted to add a bit of cohesiveness and at the same time size them all the same.  Since the designs were so different I also wanted them to appear as mini quilts within the larger design.  I think framing them worked perfectly.  I have one more block to receive and one that I still need to add the gray to & I’m gonna make at least one more block if not more.  I would really like to incorporate a couple more stars into the finished quilt.

This is such a wonderful bee to “bee” a part of–and what an amazing line up of girls!  The fabrics we get to work with are so fun and the group is truly inspirational.
