Beautifully Charming {A Free Quilt Pattern}
Welcome to February! We are having a beautifully sunny day here in Ohio. Hopefully it will melt some of the snow away before the next round hits!
Beautiful Day fabrics have started shipping to quilt shops. The precuts have been available for a couple weeks and the yardage has just started arriving in shops this week.
I am offering a free pattern with my Beautiful Day collection called Beautifully Charming. It is a charm pack friendly quilt. I couldn’t decide whether I liked the red or the gray background better so we made both! =) And I’ve listed the fabric numbers for both versions in the fabric requirements so you can make whichever you’d like.
Find the Beautifully Charming pattern here.
Which color do you like better? Gray?
Or Red?
It’s amazing how much difference sashing/borders can make!
If you are in the mid-west, you might be happy to have a new quilt pattern to work on over the next few days. It looks like we may be getting a fair amount of snow (and hopefully not too much ice!).
I will be back again soon to share more things….I need to let you know the official start date of the Beautiful Day mystery quilt along now that yardage has started shipping. I also have new Coriander Seeds patterns to share with you. And, the kick-off for the Heart-Felt charity quilt along begins this week. So I’ll be back again soon with all kinds of things to share. =) But I wanted to get this pattern to you right away. Happy Sewing! Wishing you all a Beautiful Day! Corey
awesome pattern – I’m a red kind of gal from the Finger Lakes, NY. I can’t wait to start this quilt.
A lovely – and clever- design – thank you!
I like red better, but that gray is certainly pretty too!
My husband says red😂😁. I am a red person myself.
I love them both, same quilt, different mood. I can remember when I didn’t think of gray as a color, now gray is the new beige.
Like you,I can’t make up my mind🤪,so I will have to make both!
I am learning to really enjoy gray. It is beautiful in this quilt. Love the pattern as well.
Thank you so much for the free pattern!! I love the red one!!
Hi Corey, thank you so much for the free pattern! I’m so excited about the sew along my friend and my sister are joining in too ❤️ We have our fat quarter bundles and keep checking daily for the yardage😍
I like the red best but would not mind making another one with gray. We are expecting ice in NE AR this Wednesday through Thursday hope it misses I hate power outages since we are all electric have to drag our generators been there done that so maybe not hit us.
I love the red, but gray is pretty too! Thank you for the beautiful pattern. I am looking forward to your mystery quilt.
Thankyou for the free pattern! I love both colorways but may lean towards the gray one.
Both colors lend a different feeling, but the border with the grey background tipped me in that direction. Thank you for the free pattern. These “gifts” of free patterns from designers and shops certainly keep our sewing room filled with new ideas!
Thank you for the wonderful pattern. Although I like both color ways, I’m a bit more partial to the grey version.
I like the simplicity of this pattern. I really like the gray background. Love your fabrics.
I like the gray, for me it makes the colors pop.
I love the grey, it makes the colors pop
It’s so hard to pick!
Serenity is what I’m looking for today so I’d choose gray for this particular pattern. Both are lovely though!
What a hard decision! I am truly a red person, but that gray is just rich, cozy, stunning!!! Gray for my vote
I think the gray really makes the colors stand out, but I’m looking forward to trying this in different colors…..maybe a fresh green background with lots of bright colors in the blocks. It’s a wonderful pattern! Thank you so much for sharing it!
I love the gray one. Guess I will have to start looking for the fabric. Thank you for the free pattern.
I must say the grey appeals to me the most but I like them both very much.
Nice pattern! Red is my favorite color, so it wasn’t a hard choice. There are several quilts waiting to be bound here, but this pattern looks very inviting. Thanks!
I just purchased two charm packs of Beautiful Day! So I’m excited to try this pattern.
Thank you!
looks like fun!! Could the HSTs be made in bulk, ie 8 at a time?
Thank you so much, such a lovely quilt. I love your designs!!
I love the gray!! The red is pretty. I would change the border. Like my Sis said we are eagerly awaiting the Beautiful Day sew along! I have already started the FQS Charity quilt using the Beautiful Day fabric. Thanks for the pattern.
Beautiful and easy pattern. I love both versions. Thank you for the beautiful gift.
I like both backgrounds! thank you for a great pattern.
Love them both
Both quilts are beautiful but the red background and the floral borders really make the blocks pop. Thank you for your generosity in provided your readers a free pattern!
Boy that is a toss up which I like better ,and I am not a red person but I like the red the best!
Thank you so much for the lovely pattern!
The red quilt is my favorite!!!!
Thanks so much for the free pattern, I look forward to sewing it. I like both colors, but I think
I favor the grey!
Thank you so much I love this fabric line -I love the grey version
Thank you for the pattern! I like the grey version best.
Thank you for the pattern. Definitely a red person but the gray is gorgeous!
This time of year I will be displaying this beautiful quilt in Red! Thank you for this beautiful pattern!
Thanks for the pattern, I like both colors the red and the gray but if I could only choose one I think it would be the gray.
I love them both!! Thank you for the free pattern😍
Both the red and grey are gorgeous! Love the quilting on both as well. Thank you for the free pattern. I’m near Canton, Ohio. Yes, waiting for a snow day (or two).
Both are beautiful, but the gray wins for me. Thank you for the awesome free pattern.
They’re both very pretty but, if I had to weigh in, I’d go with the gray. So sweet.
Thank you for the free pattern-just in time for our snow days!
Love them both! I am having a hard time choosing! But I think I would probably go with the grey❤️
Thanks for sharing this pattern with us! I love patterns that look like tile, and this really does. My favorite of the two colorways is the red. So cheerful!
Thank you for this beautiful quilt. I just got my charm pack from Fat Quarter Shop in the mail; now to find some fabric here to make it. I have fallen in love with your fabrics; usually I buy Batiks! Lois from Kansas (where we got about an inch here where I live).
I love them both! but I am going to make the gray one, Thanks so much for the free pattern Corey and another beautiful fabric line.
Thanks for the pattern! I have way too many charm packs and this would be a great way to use some of them up…love it!
Thank you for sharing 💕
Not usually a red girl, but I like both!
I love them both!! Such a beautiful fabric line and sweet quilt. Thank you for the free pattern Corey.
I love them both. While red *is* my favorite color, I must say your beautiful fabrics really pop against the gray. I may need to make both and decide in person which is my fav! 😉😉
LOVE them both, just a bit partial to the gray. This pattern is now on my list – thank you!!
Thank you for the pattern! I like both of the quilts but am leaning toward the red one.
I like the red best, but the gray is pretty too.
I love both, but I am leaning towards the gray. Probably because I need to make a quilt for a man and this one says masculine to me.
Thank you for the pattern and your beautiful, wonderful fabrics.
Gray it is…makes the reds pop in the quilt. Gray is the “new background color” in my sewing room!
Love both! But I’ve already have everything to make the gray. Can’t wait to get started on it!
I like both the grey and the red . decisions, decisions
Thank you so much for the pattern. I had a charm pack waiting for the perfect pattern and this is it. Can’t wait to finish the quilt. I like the gray!
