Behind the Scenes: Quilt Patterns Come to Life

I’m sharing about my new Fruit Salad quilts in today’s video in a fun way. Starting in July, I filmed a little clip about once a week for 2 months documenting the making of my Fruit Salad quilts.

You’ll get to hear me chat about the patterns, a couple missteps along the way, see quilt blocks as I was working on them, and completed quilt tops. It was a lot of fun to film this way. Please let me know if you enjoyed this format as I’d be happy to do this again for future releases.

All of the new patterns can be found in my Etsy shop.

Also, as I mentioned in the video, I’ll be chatting about the $5 October pattern next week but it is marked down already.

Happy Saturday! Corey

I really enjoyed the behind the scenes videos. There is so much work to be done when designing fabrics and writing patterns. I appreciate all of your hard work, which thankfully, you seem to enjoy. Thanks for the fabrics, the patterns and the videos.

Corey, I loved watching the process of what it takes to create and test patterns for us quilters to enjoy. I never realized how much work goes into it. Thanks for all you do in creating such joyful patterns for us to make. The behind the scenes format was exciting to watch and I hope you do this again for your other lines of fabric. I have loved all of your fabric lines and Fruit Salad doesn’t disappoint! It’s such a cheerful and happy one- the colors are stunning! Thanks again for all you do!

Hi, Corey! I really enjoyed this video of behind the scenes! How do you get quilt tops sewn together so fast??? I would love to see videos of you piecing your blocks at the sewing machine! Wonder how many hours per day you sew?
I noticed when you showed us your quilt tops that the backs looked so clean! Mine always have millions of strings and yours do not! Do you trim them before showing on camera or is there something I can do to eliminate so many loose strings? I use quilt shop fabric and have starched in the past. It might have helped some, but not completely. Would love to hear if you have any suggestions!
Thanks so much for your wonderful videos! Looking forward to seeing Block 10 in your Cali and co sew along! I’m all caught up and ready for the next one!
