Birdie Block
I’ve been debating for oh, almost a year now, about what kind of quilt I would like to make with my fat quarter stack of Sandi Henderson’s Farmer’s Market line. I love this line of fabric and I just couldn’t find exactly what I was looking for. Well, last week my 8 month old was playing with the one of the paisleys from the line(trying to start her out young) and I couldn’t help thinking how much the paisley looked like a bird, and so, my birdie block was born:
I think this may quite possibly be my favorite block ever–I love the little stripey border. I plan on mixing up these blocks with some 25 patches like so:
This is gonna be one fun quilt to work on–the blocks are just so happy. =)
