Blogger’s Quilt Festival
So, you can add me to the list of ladies wishing to be at Quilt Market right now. What I wouldn’t do to get my hands on some Sweetwater Sunkissed…
I’ve decided to do the next best thing and participate in the Blogger’s Quilt Festival hosted by Amy. Blog hopping always lifts my spirits and helps take my mind off all of the fun that I am missing….kind of. =)
This was a quilt that I made during the Old Red Barn Quilting along–the very first round–back in the day. Actually it was just last summer, but it was my first introduction to the virtual quilting world & I have been hooked since.
Being involved in such a thriving quilting community via flickr and other quilty blogs opens up such a resource of inspiration as well as opportunities I wouldn’t have had.
This quilt is made using fabrics from Heather Bailey’s Pop Garden line of fabric. It is a bright fun quilt–one of the gals over on flickr told me she was a little bit afraid of the bright yellow. It is a bright color–more “neon” as opposed to a softer “banana” yellow but, I have never been one to shy away from color.
Uh-oh….we lost her…
Very nice! Great, vibrant colors.
I like it! I agree, joining into this virtual sewing community has been absolutely amazing.
P.S. What a cute little girl you have!
This is lovely! The colors feel a little bit like fall and a little bit like spring 😉
I love the bright cheeryness!
Love it! Its so cheery. Since joining the online quilting world I am addicted to quilt alongs. However I have learnt that time management wise I shouldn't do two at the same time.
Great quilt! I love the green in this quilt…it is just perfect! I wish I were at quilt market as well…although I worked at the shoppe today…so I was around fabric 🙂 Thanks for sharing such a happy quilt. BTW – I will be in your neck of the woods next week! Yay!
Love the colors! What a great quilt to wrap up in on a dreary winter day. Definetly would lift my mood. Thanks for sharing.

Love the quilt! I was in that quilt along also and things have never been the same in my quilting world since! All for the better too. Thanks for sharing.
what a fun quilt you made! It shows off these pretty fabrics so well! I participated in this rail fence quilt-along too, and finished quilting mine almost a year later. Fun photo shoot too!
I love it too! That was such a fun quilt along…I used Swanky.
Add me to the list of those wishing I were at Market as well, AND especially waiting for Sunkissed. That is currently my most anticipated fabric line. And this quilt is so cute. I have fat qtrs of this line–rail fence is a great choice. Hmmmm. I think I'll pull them out of their little basket and take a look…
such a fun and cheerful quilt! Wish I was at quilt market too!
So cute, I love the pictures especially! I am definitely going to check out that quilt along, right now. Gorgeous quilt! 🙂
The quilt is so happy! Snuggle up in it and maybe you will entirely forget about Market. 🙂
