February Hip 2 Bee Square Block
February was/is(I’m just a bit early with this block) Nicole’s month in H2B2 & she requested this lovely star block. She asked for no wonkiness aside from the inside square which she wanted pieced. I had a lot of fun with this little block.
For the center I used a little paper pieced scrap that I had made during some practice runs for a different project I was working on.
It is made almost entirely of Heather Bailey’s Fresh Cut line except for that one little snippet of Farmer’s Market. I thought it went beautifully with the fabrics that Nicole sent for her star blocks which included some Fresh Cut. On a side note, Nicole was kind enough to have all of the white fabric cut for the star points which really saved a bit of time–so nice! =)
This was an easy, fun block to make and I really may end up making another one for her–I’ve got plenty of time before the end of February!
