Hexagon Cuteness
I was invited to take part in a Hexagon swap over on flickr–of course I jumped at the chance to make some more of these little cuties. The swap is a blind swap—so we don’t know who our partners are. I made this little grouping of 25 based on my partners designer preferences, fave colors, blog, flickr faves etc.
(notice those cute little fingers just waiting to dive into some hexagon goodness)
These are 1″ hexagons (one inch is the width of one side) & are hand basted onto paper. Texas Freckles has a great paper template freebie for cutting out all of the paper hexagons that you need to make these little hexagons. 2.5″ squares of fabric work perfectly to end up with 1″ hexagons.
I was especially drawn to Amy’s little mushroom hexagon that she appliqued & decided to do a version of my own. And then after that I added in a little stitchy hexagon and an embroidery hexagon.
These are my favorites from the batch.
Oh, these little guys are such fun to make. So easy, but you get a lot of bang for your buck. =)
That's a fabulous pile of hexagons!!

They are adorable! I'd love to try my hand at these but I can't find the template on the blog you referenced. Can you send me the link?
