In the Garden Quilts

Happy Saturday friends!…Today is the day that I get to introduce you to my brand new In the Garden quilts.

In the Garden fabrics will be in quilt shops later this fall (be sure to let your favorite quilt shop know that you’d love if they’d carry them!). The patterns I’ve designed for In the Garden can be purchased now. I have both the PDFs and the Paper versions available to purchase in my Etsy shop.  (the Paper copies will ship in about a week)

This was a fun group of quilts to design and make and I enjoyed stitching up each of these pretties. =) I have 5 new patterns to introduce to you…a fat quarter friendly quilt, a layer cake friendly quilt, a jelly roll friendly quilt, a charm pack friendly quilt, and a brand new Barn Star quilt. So let’s get to the show and tell!

First up is Fanciful which is the fat quarter friendly quilt. It has nice, large 15″ blocks and the quilt finishes at 75″ x 93″. This quilt was beautifully quilted by David using the City of Fountains pantograph by Julie Hirt. I used the diagonal stripe fabric from In the Garden for all of the bindings…You know those striped bindings are my favorite!

The second new quilt is called Brookside. This is the charm pack friendly quilt and it finishes at a nice room 60″ x 70″. I’ve mentioned so often that I really enjoy making a nice sized quilt using just a charm pack plus a bit of yardage. It’s so satisfying to stretch those charm packs to create at least a throw sized quilt if not larger.

If you missed my In the Garden video, you wouldn’t have heard me chat about some of the really nice low volume and background options in the upcoming In the Garden fabric line. I really enjoyed highlighting some of them when making these quilts.

I had David try a new, to me, quilting design called Globz on this one. I really like the texture it gives.

The Jelly Roll quilt for this collection is called Jelly Twinkle. It finishes at 64″ x 76″. All of the quilts in this pattern release are easy to enlarge by adding additional borders if you wanted anything roomier.

Jelly Twinkle would be another great one to use up some of your scraps…as you can see it looks pretty scrappy!….and I am loving that aqua border—that print is so summery, bright, and joyful. =)

The quilting on this one is called Swirly Foliage (quilted by David). In the photo below, you can also see the white on white print in this collection nicely….it’s such a great background!

For the layer cake quilt, I designed Garden Melody. I knew that I wanted to include a flower filled quilt with this batch of patterns and this is it.

Garden Melody finishes at 68″ x 76″. David quilted it with an all over small scale orange peel. For the background fabric on this quilt, I used the tiny orange peel print from In the Garden. It’s such a current favorite of mine for backgrounds. I need a bolt of it for sure! The scale is perfect and it adds just a little touch of color to the background.

Rounding out the new patterns is Barn Star 11. As with previous Barn Star patterns, this new one finishes at 40″ square.

David used Infinity 1 for the quilting on this quilt. It’s a quilting design I had asked him to use recently and I really liked how it turned out so was excited to have him try it again.

Lastly, if you are interested in purchase all 5 of the new quilt patterns, I have a discounted pattern bundle available to purchase here.

That’s the new pattern round-up! If you would like to see these new quilts in a bit more detail and here me talk about them further, I have a brand new video up today chatting more about them.

You can watch here.

Thanks so much for stopping by!…have a wonderful weekend! Corey
