Introducing…Starberry!
Good morning friends! Today, I am so excited to introduce you to my latest fabric collection showing to quilt shops right now, Starberry.
Starberry is my second Holiday themed line of fabric for Moda fabrics. Can you spy the cute little sheep faces peeking out at you in the photo above? I had so much fun designing this collection and it’s full of the sweetest little prints.
This is what I wrote up to describe Starberry for the Moda catalog:
A star-filled night sky illuminates gently falling snow landing atop pine boughs and holly berries. It’s the magical first snowfall of the season. No sound to be heard except for the distant baaing of sheep from the stable. A quick frosty breath and your eyes take in the midnight sky, the sparkly stars, the greens of the stately firs, and spots of red holly just visible under the blanketing snow. Starberry brings to life the beauty of the season’s first snow. Rich reds, greens, and charcoal bring life to holiday flowers, sprigs of pine and holly, stars, checks, dots, and of course, sheep. Bring the magic of the season into your home.
I’ll be sharing more about Starberry in the upcoming weeks. We’ll take a look at all of the prints in the collection, talk about my line-up of quilt patterns showcasing this line, and chat about a fun 2024 BOM I have planned. There is a really pretty sketchy rose print that I really like in all of the colors…and I think the sheep are so cute too. There’s also a more basic star print that is so pretty!
Always love your fabrics and love the colors in this one and of course, I love lambs! Can’t wait to see it up close and personal. Have you thought about writing a book? I think you’re a natural. Loved your writeup.
That’s so kind of you to say Janet! In high school, I often thought about writing. My English classes were always my strongest classes and being an avid reader I did consider it. It makes me laugh a little bit now…I’ve written quilting books but never novels! =) I never would have imagined that twist when I was in high school!
I LOVE it!! I have been impatiently waiting for a follow-up to Holliberry (my favorite fabric line EVER) and love the addition of the charcoal to this beautiful line. Looking forward to seeing how this plays with the overflowing bin of Holliberry in my stash. I am already anticipating another fun BOM!

I love the sheep in these fabrics. The popularity of my Wooly Stars pattern prompted me to add a few sheep to these fabrics. I think they are so cute!

Yes! Something to add to my left over Holiberry fabric line…Peachy Keen just hit the shelves so I thought when I saw your post come to the feed it was going to be about that! I am loving Sunwashed line and even done playing with that…so much fabric so little time =)

Takes me back to the days when we had sheep.. in the winter.. snow over the top of our boots.. mom’s having babies outside, duh, sheep are not smart. …bottle feeding babies. burrrr..sometimes we moved the babies ot our enclosed back porch for a few days. Long time ago 🙂 fun to watch those kids playing though.
