November $5 Pattern of the Month
This month is scurrying right along, isn’t it! With quilt market falling right at the end of October, my weeks leading up to it were so busy and then it was a little bit of catch-up time after I got back. I finally feel like I am on top of my to-do list. I probably shouldn’t say that because then something will come up to lengthen that list again!
I haven’t had a chance to chat about my $5 pattern of the month for November here on the blog yet. I’ve decided that Snowy is the perfect pattern for this month. You can find the pattern for $5 in my Etsy shop here in either PDF or Paper versions. Ryan & I also filmed a video chatting about Snow that you can watch if you’d like to see the quilt in a bit more detail.
My original Snowy quilt was made using Holliberry fabrics which are harder to find now. So, here are some alternate fabric options using lines that are currently in quilt shops. This first version is made using Lighthearted by Camille Roskelley.
Up next is a blue snowman option using Blueberry Delight by Anne Sutton. I like that this option really extends how long you might like to keep this quilt out beyond the holidays.
And lastly, another more traditional option using Christmas Eve by Lella Boutique.
Thank you so much for stopping by and have a wonderful Wednesday! Corey
Thanks Corey and Ryan for your wonderful videos. Your fabrics are always so well coordinated colors that really appeal to me. Your videos help make the projects doable, You are amazing, thanks for the inspiration.
You’re so welcome Anne!
I love all of the fabrics you’ve used to recolor this quilt but the blue is my favorite! I love Christmas so I have a lot of Christmas quilts in varying states of progress but I don’t have just a winter quilt. Thanks for adding another thing to my to-do list π
It’s fun to have a festive quilt that works beyond the holiday season. I really like the way the quilt looks in those Blueberry Delight fabrics. =)
Pattern ordered, check! Thank Corey! I think I will need to do the blue colorway π
Thank you Cathy! I love that blue colorway also. =)
My favorite also is the Blueberry Delight one. Blue and winter just seem to go together! With a Cuddle fabric on the back, this quilt will be one to snuggle up with all winter long…and i
n Minnesota, that can be a long time!!
That would make for such a snuggly quilt!
I can relate. I’m in No. WI & last winter snow started Oct 17 & ended May 2nd with about 19 feet of snow for the season π’ Maybe I need a Peachy Keen version so I can add some fall leaves to the snow π
