Scrappy Pumpkin Quilt Block Pattern

Friends!…can you believe it…another Scrappy Block has been added to the mix. =)

It has been far too long since I shared a free Scrappy quilt block pattern. Today, is the day for a new one! This fun little Scrappy Pumpkin block joins all of our previous scrappy quilt blocks bringing our total of scrappy blocks up to 11. If you popped over here after watching the video, you’re going to notice a couple more blocks than I shared in the video. I had completely forgotten about the Scrappy Gift Block and the Scrappy Tree Block!

Aren’t they pretty all mixed together like that? Seeing all of them in this photo makes me want to make a few more. It’s been such a fun series of quilt block patterns to create and to share with all of you.

You can download the free Scrappy Pumpkin Block PDF pattern here.

I am chatting about this new block in today’s video, sharing a little bit about Nicole’s quilt progress, and chatting a pidge about the June Tailor ruler I mentioned briefly in last week’s video. You all had many questions about that ruler!

I’d love to have you watch today’s video! And, if you aren’t already a subscriber to the Coriander Quilts YouTube channel, I would love to have you. =) It’s a fun, chatty group over there!

Have a wonderful weekend! Corey

A fall leaf and an apple would make it a monthly sampler quilt.

Maybe a turkey, sunshine, leaf and a snowman.

    Making this today. Love it.

  4. So cute! Can’t wait to make this one. Undecided if I want to make a year long quilt combining them all or keep separate for now. A turkey would be a nice finish lol

I, too, would like to see a scrappy leaf block and I think a different type of flower, perhaps a sunflower, would be lovely too. Thank you for the fun and informative videos that make Saturday mornings so pleasant.

I watched your YouTube Saturday vlog. I didn’t know about these scrappy blocks. They are so much fun, I downloaded them all. Thank You for sharing!

  7. Joyce Carter says:

Thanks so much for the scrappy blocks Corey. I love scrappy more than anything.

  8. How fun! This is the first time I’ve seen these blocks. Thank you for sharing again! I think a Sunflower for August would be fun. And definitely a turkey for November! A few more ideas for warmer months could be a kite, a beach ball, or flip-flops. That would be a great challenge! As others mentioned, a squirrel, maple or oak leaf, and an Apple would be cute for fall.

These blocks would make great throw pillow cases that I could change out for the holidays. I bought a bunch of Christmas themed pillows on clearance (cheaper than pillow forms!) and I have been looking for something fun to cover them with to keep out year round. As always, you get my thought processes churning out new ideas. Thank you for the inspiration! And the patterns. Definitely thank you for the patterns!

I love these! I made the heart into a Valentine pillow.
I vote for a Santa or snowman!

  10. Gloria B says:

Agree with great ideas from others! Definitely a turkey! How about an ice skate, house, watering can or basket? Thank you!

Many thanks Cory, I love your scrappy blocks and have just downloaded most of them.
