Spring Brook Blossoms: Forget-Me-Not Block
Happy Monday!–It is release day of Block 2 for the Spring Brook Blossoms quilt along. Isn’t that a fun way to kick off your week. =)
We’ve had so many fun blocks released over the last few days!
Block #2 of our Spring Brook Blossoms quilt along is the Forget-Me-Not block.
You can see that for the block this month, we will be making churn dash centers for our little flowers.
I know many of you have chosen to make the stem/leaf portion of the block ahead of time as I suggested last month. If you enjoy working ahead, you can also make your outside flower petals ahead. They will all be constructed the same although you will be using different prints.
Some of you asked about the white on white fabric I am using for my blocks. This is the X print fabric from my Holliberry line of fabric. It is pretty hard to find. But you may still be able to find it locally at your fave quilt shop.
You can find the pattern for the Forget-Me-Not block here.
And lastly, there have been so many beautiful blocks being shared in the Coriander Quilts private Facebook group. If you’d like to join in on the fun, you can request to join here. Make sure to answer all of the questions so I can approve your request. =)
There are also beautiful blocks being shared on Instagram using #springbrookblossomsbom It is so much fun to see all of these pretty blocks and it’s also helpful to see the blocks being made in so many different fabrics. Many of us are visual piecers and this helps out so much!–so, thank you for sharing your block photos with all of us. =)
I will share the 3rd block in this quilt along on Monday, June 21.
If you missed Block 1, you can find it here. And you can find the fabric requirements for this sew along here.
Happy Sewing! Corey
Thank you so much Corey. I haven’t started yet still collecting some fabric. Hope to start soon. This is a gorgeous quilt.
Thank you!–and you are so welcome!
Could you tell me where I can find your white fabric I so want it. Love it all
The white on white fabric I am using on these blocks is from Holliberry.
I’ve loved your fabric and your designs from afar and have always wanted to use your fabrics. This block of the month gave me the incentive. So at the mini shop hop in May, I purchased fabric from Spring Blossoms line. My background is the very light apricot on on for white plus signs from Apricot and Ash. It looks really nice. Finishing my First blocks just in time.
That will be such a pretty combo!
Thank you for the beautiful fabric line. I love the soft colors! I have purchased several yards of the complete line. I’m making a quilt of it all following your BOM. Thank you!
Thank you!–that is so nice of you!
Where can I find a list of the Bella solids that match Spring Brook? I think I saw it it one of your blogs but cannot find it. I have the fat quarter bundle of Spring Brook already & think it is really beautiful.
Patricia, Should be at of the page under “Bella Solids Matching.Information”
Thank you Debbie but I looked there first it is not listed yet.
It is in this blog post: https://corianderquilts.com/spring-brook-fabrics-a-new-video/
This is the sweetest fabric line!
Thank you!
Hi Corey, This is a fun quilt, can’t wait until it’s finished. Another note I wanted to look at your past fabric lines and clicked on several of the links and there’s nothing there. Have you removed links to your previous fabric lines?
I haven’t changed anything but if Moda has updated or moved things around on their website, it will effect my links. This link: https://modafabrics.com/designers/corey-yoder will take you to all of my fabric lines so far. You can look at any of the lines by clicking under the “swatch” section of the line you’d like to see.
Thank you so very much for sharing your Spring Brook Blossoms quilt pattern, your time, your talent and your encouragement! I am enjoying piecing these block tremendously!
I am so glad to hear that!–thank you!
Corey, I wanted to let you know that my quilting group loved your Spring Brook flowers so much we have started a friendship flower swap. Each of us are to make 12 flowers that remind our friends of us and we will then swap at Christmas. We will have a flower garden of friends. Thank you soooo much for the inspiration.
I love this idea Ginny!–that will be so much fun to give and receive. =)
I’m loving this quilt Corey!
Thanks so much!
I haven’t started on your Spring Brook flowers yet. I am working on Serendipity and a Christmas quilt plus some smaller projects! But love your patterns!
I appreciate that!–thank you!
Corey, this has nothing to do with spring brook, but I missed out on the Holliberry Christmas Fabric.
Just wondering if you have anything in mind for the future. If so, tell moda to print 3 times as much.
Love everything you do.
I don’t have another Christmas line in the works right now but I sure have been asked about it a lot! It is really up to the customers as to how much fabric is printed….the order is based off of what the quilt shops order and the shops base it off of customer interest. If you love a line, the best thing to do is to let your local quilt know so they can order it for you. =) And thank you so much for your kind comments!!
