Blockheads Block #45

This week’s Blockheads block is 12 Crowns brought to us by Betsy Chutchian.

Betsy and I (along with Sherri/Chelsi and Beth of One Canoe Two) showed our first lines at the same quilt market. I have really enjoyed getting to know Betsy–she’s just as sweet as can be.

For my block, I used a dark grey background fabric. It is a Bella Solid, Etchings Slate. That and Etchings Charcoal are my two dark grey Bella Solids. I chose some of my other favorite Moda Bella Solids and paired them with various prints to complete this block. It’s not quite a rainbow of color…but almost!

I was also able to complete my Blockheads quilt top this week by working ahead. You guys are in for a real treat with these last few blocks…there are some really pretty ones. In fact, I think my favorite block in the whole quilt is one of the ones coming up soon. =)
