Blockheads Block #48

Another Wednesday, another quilt block!

Laurie Simpson has designed an applique quilt block for us for this week’s Block Heads block.  You can find her applique version on her website.

I’ve designed this Dainty Blossom quilt block for anyone who prefers not to applique.  If you have never tried applique before, I do encourage you to try it out as it is a wonderful technique and so handy to add to your quilting repertoire.

The flower prints in this block are from my Strawberry Jam line of fabric which is starting to hit quilt shops right now.

Here are the instructions for the Dainty Blossom block.

I got my Blockheads quilt back from the quilter last week and it turned out so cute!  It has been so much fun seeing block lay outs starting to pop up over in the Facebook group.

And here is the coloring page for the Dainty Blossoms block.

We are so close to the end of this quilt along and what fun it has been!

Happy Sewing!

Hi Corey, I thought you should know that I could not access Block #48 through the email I rec’d from you. Kept getting and error number (maybe 407) and said I was “not authorized”. So after trying a few other ways, where I rec’d the same message, I was able to access this way —- it said Little Miss Shabby on the list that came up when I googled Coriander Quilts. I was able to get your block and the applique block so I’m all set. Thanks.

  2. Same thing happened to me–not authorized . . .

Loved this block. My only problem was my iron dying.🙁
I guess I should not have bragged that it fell off the ironing board last week and still worked. Oh well, new iron works great. 😁
