12th Free Scrappy Quilt Block + 13 Jelly Roll Quilts Round-up

National Sew a Jelly Roll Day is coming up next Saturday, the 19th. For today’s video, I have a round-up of 13 jelly roll quilts.

I am sharing the 13 quilts and talking about how I chose to quilt them. There are a lot of different quilting designs represented across the quilts and I chat about which ones I think are especially effective on jelly roll quilts.

So, whether you are looking for a fun jelly roll pattern for next week (or any week!) or looking for ideas on how to finish your jelly roll quilt top this video covers both.

Or, if you aren’t in need of any jelly roll inspo but you’ve been waiting for me to release the 12th scrappy block in our series of scrappy blocks…that is also happening today!

We are rounding out our scrappy quilt block line-up with a perfectly fall scrappy leaf block.

You can download the PDF pattern here.

If I were making a whole quilt of these little cuties, this is what I’d want to make:

Isn’t that gloriously fall? I’d make it in this palette in solids only. I think it would be stunning! Do we need a complete quilt pattern for this? I think it’s so pretty!

If you’ve missed any of the previous scrappy blocks here they are:

Scrappy Clover

Scrappy Heart

Scrappy Tulip

Scrappy Flag

Scrappy Tree

Scrappy Snowflake

Scrappy Butterfly

Scrappy Bunny

Scrappy Carrot

Scrappy Gift

Scrappy Pumpkin

Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a wonderful Saturday. Corey

I love the idea of a Fall quilt with all leaves. Beautiful and a great way to put scraps to good use! 🍂🍁

Thank you for sharing yet another group of great ideas. I have narrowed my choice for National Sew a Jelly Roll Day down to just 2 patterns that I want to make so fabrics have been chosen, starched and pressed for both. This way no matter which choice I make I will be ready to start making the other soon also.
Love, love, love the scrappy blocks. Though a dozen will make a cute quilt through the months I do hope you will share other scrappy blocks in the future. I have found that I really have fun making scrappy blocks and have really enjoyed the scrappy Irish chain pattern you shared a couple of years ago. I used a lightweight batting and it resides atop my bed as my summer quilt. Obviously I am one who does like the square quilts. So many quilts are just too long to be used as a snuggle quilt and a square quilt works so nicely.
Leaves are a theme I decorate with every fall so your newest scrappy block is sure to appear center stage in a new pillow cover on my sofa or loveseat. Best wishes to you and your family and happy fall to all.

Your scrappy leaf pattern is adorable. I grew up in Vermont and fall was such a beautiful time. The leaves there are vibrant reds, greens and yellows all mixed in.

please, please, please, write a pdf for the full leaf quilt. I am absolutely in LOVE with it. I am not tech savvy and cannot get a screen shot to print….. I would be ever so grateful!

  5. I didn’t know about these scrappy blocks until this week’s video and I’m so glad you introduced me to them. I have now downloaded all 12 and think I may make a quilt with all 12. Now off to sort through my scraps to see what will work. Of course, I wouldn’t mind buying some jelly rolls too — just sayin’…, !!

I love the scrappy blocks, but someone commented there are 12, and I see only 11.

There are 11 previous blocks released (those are all found at the bottom of the blog post) plus the one released today (scrappy leaf block link is in the middle of the blog post) for a total of 12.

Hello, I am waiting for you to release that jelly roll quilt you showed a few weeks ago. We saw kitty heads. I would like to sew for National Jelly roll day but need fabric requirements.
    Thanks
