2026 BOM Border 6 Pattern & BRAND NEW Jelly Roll Pattern
Today’s video brings us the final border in our 2026 border of the month. What a fun 6 months this has been! Let me know what you all thought about the border-of-the month idea vs. the standard block-of-the month option.
For today, we are adding a simple patchwork border to finish up our quilt top. I have some great tips in the video for adding these squares to our quilt top.

Download the Border 6 PDF pattern here.
If you’ve missed any previous patterns, here is everything that’s been released:

I’m also releasing a brand new jelly roll pattern today in honor of National Sew a Jelly Roll Day.

Meet Little Black Cat:

You guys often see Tiggs in my videos/photos but we also have a more elusive black cat named Frances. She’s actually been with our family longer than Tiggs has. She showed up to our house a year or two before Tiggs started coming around.
You’ve seen her here and there in photos but she’s much more shy and definitely not king of the camera like Tiggs is.

And here’s a more recent photo of Frances with Tiggs:

And here’s what Tiggsy thinks about the Little Black Cat quilt:

He does like patchwork things:

The Little Black Cat Quilt is available in a PDF/Digital version over in my Etsy shop. Also, if you want to see a red/green holiday version of the quilt, I am sharing one in today’s video. =)
We’ve also given a remake to an older quilt pattern: Tulip Market

I first made this quilt using Flower Mill fabrics in 2017. This was the first version:

Tulip Market Quilt
We’ve now remade it using Joysome fabrics which will be coming out next month.

The Tulip Market pattern is getting a little bit of a facelift as well and the new Paper patterns will feature Joysome fabrics on the cover.
Tiggys usually isn’t too far away when I’m taking photos. =)

The Tulip Market pattern is available to purchase here. The paper version of the pattern will be arriving to me next week and shipping shortly thereafter.
Thanks so much for stopping by! I hope you have a wonderful weekend. Corey

I absolutely LOVE!!!!!! your bedroom. It is gorgeous!! I love all your quilts too and I watch every Saturday. I enjoy it all!
Hi Corey,
I dearly LOVED doing this Border of the month – it was something a little different and the bonus of having a completed quilt top at the end without having to set it together. It is such a unique and beautiful design also, I feel you knocked it out of the ballpark with this one! I am trying not to start any new sewalongs until I finish up some works in progress, and don’t have much sewing time – but I already had that policy when I started this BOM and will definitely hope to join in if you do another Border of the Month in the future! I am a little bit behind, but looking forward to finishing it and have enjoyed every moment. Thank you so much!
I really enjoyed this BOM! I liked it being different than the normal block of the months! This was my first sew along with you! Thanks!!
Is the bag/tote pattern available somewhere? It’s the cutest!!
It is!…It’s called a Mondo bag and it’s a pattern that quilt shops carry.
Your Mondo bag is so cute!! Even cuter with Tigsey in it. LOL I may have to make the Mondo bag as you did with the green lining. My sister would absolutely love that! She is definately a green fiend. And that bag would be perfect for quilt shows, too. It would be better than her crazy Steelers bag!! LOL!!!
Wasn’t sure I wanted to do this sew along but when I saw the 4th border I was hooked…thanks Etsy for my layer cake n I’ve finished border 3 !!! Can’t wait to finish this !!!
Love the pictures with the cats. Plus I love the purry stars pattern and may get it to make a quilt for my niece in law who loves cats.
Hi Corey! Is the bag pattern available that Tiggsy is sitting in? It looks so adorable.
It is!…It’s a Mondo bag and you’d be able to find the pattern in quilt shops. It’s a very popular pattern.
The Border of the Month was a nice change from regular sew alongs, interesting and different! A few years ago I participated in a Row of the Month and really enjoyed this concept; each month a Block was provided, the participants completed a set number of this block, the following month another Block was provided and the same procedure was followed, the row Blocks were theme based. Thank you for this sew along I enjoyed the project.
I was a couple months behind but was able to sew my final borders together as leaders & enders between my border 4 pieces and I can finally see the finish line! It’s just lovely in the Sunbonnet line by Heather Briggs.
P.S. Your bedroom turned out beautifully!

Dear Corey, I loved doing this sew along with you this year. I finished my top and can’t wait to get it quilted. Thank you for all the hard work you put into bringing such fun projects to us. I love your positivity and pray for you and your family. Be blessed, Silvia
